Nigerian based consultancy; Compass Global Services has joined forces with Dubai /UK based international Exhibition organizers; B to B Events as they hold the Annual Beauty West Africa Exhibition and Conference in Lagos, the commercial nerve center of Nigeria and the Beauty Hub in West Africa. The event  will run from the 21ST – 23RD of November at the Landmark Event Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.

BEAUTY WEST AFRICA CONFERENCE FOCUSES ON THE GROWTH OF NIGERIA’S BEAUTY SECTOR; INDUSTRY STAKEHOLDER SPEAK..

The 2018 edition of the Annual Beauty West Africa Exhibition and Conference will run from the 21ST – 23RD of November at the Landmark Event Center, Victoria Island, Lagos. As an international platform for business to business engagements and export promotion, the event will host over 100 companies from across the world, and local brands; including the showcasing of Proudly Nigerian brands.

The conference, which has been entirely curated by Compass Global on B to B Events’ Beauty West Africa platform to highlight the key aspects of Nigeria’s Beauty sector, whilst showcasing Beauty Industry /Sector Leaders and Stakeholders from across the sector.  Pertinent issues around sector growth, export, education, training, including processing and manufacturing will be highlighted at the conference, which holds alongside the exhibition.

CEO Compass Global, Mrs. Tokunbo Chiedu has reiterated the need for a review of the education and the technical training of beauty personnel/professionals in the Country; owing to the seeming lack of skilled manpower for the Beauty sector in the Country. Mrs. Chiedu asserts the need to put more investment into the education sector via technical colleges/ Government approved beauty institutes; including  the introduction of bursaries for those interested in a career path in the beauty sector. Lack of adequate investment into Research and Development to support value addition to natural ingredients has been flagged up, including issues around compliance with global standards, expertise, and technical knowledge with regards to manufacturing products; are all matters of critical concern for sector growth.

Euromonitor has revealed that the Nigerian beauty sector is worth N3b, confirming the viability of Nigeria’s Beauty sector. A skilled and knowledgeable manpower base is the foundation to a thriving beauty sector.

GOVERNMENT AND PRIVATE SECTOR SUPPORT THE NIGERIAN BEAUTY SECTOR AT BEAUTY WEST AFRICA

The Annual Beauty West Africa Exhibition and Conference will run from the 21ST – 23RD of November at the Landmark Event Center, Victoria Island, Lagos.  This year, the Bank of Industry Nigeria has taken the lead in providing financial support towards the organization of the conference; whilst the Nigerian Export Promotion Council are providing technical support and training around accessing the exports market. Lagos State Government will be represented by Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye-Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives who will deliver a Keynote address on “Lagos, Africa’s Beauty Business Hub”. The President of the Nigerian British Chamber of Commerce  Mr. Olawore is  expected to give the welcome remarks at the Beauty West Africa Conference in honour of the collaboration between BtoB Events UK Ltd, organizers of Beauty West Africa Exhibition, and Compass Global Services Nig, Ltd. – the Beauty West Africa Conference Partner.
