A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Alhaji Sina Alabi, has described Zacch Adedeji Adelabu, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) as the Zacchaeus of his era.
Alabi, who doubles as the Chairman/CEO, Shortollab Int’l Company Ltd, noted that Adedeji’s life could be likened to that of Zacchaeus in the Bible, who was driven by a desire to see and be seen by Jesus despite his limitations.
The Ibadan-born politician, in his goodwill message, highlighted some great virtues of Adedeji as he clocks 47.
He writes, “As I reflect on the life of Zacchaeus in the Bible, I am reminded of a man who, despite his limitations, was driven by a desire to see and be seen by Jesus. This encounter marked a significant turning point in Zacchaeus’s life.
“Today, I celebrate you, a man whose life parallels Zacchaeus’s story, demonstrating dedication, hard work, and a commitment to serving others.
“Your impressive educational background and distinguished career in Nigeria’s financial sector make you a standout leader. Your expertise in corporate tax and public finance development has significantly impacted Nigeria’s financial landscape.
“Beyond your professional achievements, you are driven by a desire to serve and make positive impacts. Your loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda demonstrated your dedication to Nigeria’s progress.
“As you celebrate your birthday, I pray for continued wisdom, strength, and guidance. May your commitment to effective tax administration and public service inspire us all.
“I also pray for your lovely wife and children, that they may continue to be a source of joy and strength to you.
“Happy birthday my dear brother! May this new year bring you joy, happiness, and continued success.”
