Aare Dr. KOLA OYEFESO Out With New Book

by Abiola Orisile

•Titles It: The MUSING Of A QUESTER

This is not just an attempt to add to the innumerable books on the shelves. The objective is to wake us to our chief mission in this world: to call a spade by its appropriate name by reminding us, we are not in the world to climb a social tree or to merely eat, drink, procreate, then die and be cremated, or lowered

into the soil for all manners of maggots and insects to feast on our lifeless bodies. In effect, this book would make sense only to those who are brazen, or dissatisfied with the shadow show of the labyrinth world. If we are pissed off with what the earthly field has to offer, like the proverbial Biblical prodigal

son, we may find solace in this book. By the same token, this book would make little or no sense to those who are still earthly bound, for it is true eternally, that many may be called, but few would be chosen.

To these few one is addressing; At the dawn of consciousness, the sum total of what confronts a right-thinking man is why is this or that, why this world, when did it begin, will it ever come to an end. This is because we are accustomed to thinking everything must have a beginning and an end. We also imagine this inhibition to the Creator.

For an answer, we have turned to the scriptures but explanations offered are contradictory. Tired of searching for answers in the churches, mosques, guitars, in crevices, holy places we have gone to the moon, but as much as we Why this Book? Author’s Note tried, we have remained befuddled.

To shy away from examining life’s puzzles challenges our homosapiens status to no end. It situates us as coming to the world as babies and returning ignoramus as we came. It is rather one doesn’t survive the struggle at conception or born still – a total waste of effort.

Furthermore, there comes a time when the Lord draws us to Himself. To do that, the Lord makes the transitory nature of worldly existence, with its manifold sufferings and agonizing to capture our attention. We are then compelled to imagine whether there was life beyond this our present life and whither we go when we shed the mortal coil. Added to this are life’s perplexing questions such as; why is the world seemingly imperfect? If God is good and merciful? Where did Satan come from? If the Lord created Satan, why would a gracious God do such? Does man have a freewill? If he does, could God be omniscient? This is for the obvious reason that the setting of an all-knowing God and a free-willed man

doesn’t add up.

Many other perplexing questions confront man and make him confounded to great length. To look the other way and tag on with life presents us as insensitive. It also reduces us to mere simpletons. That couldn’t be salutary to a man created in the image of the Supreme Lord. Would a man that has been created well above his fancy and currently using a mingy fraction of the capacity of his brain be adjudged as truly living, if he chooses to ignore life’s puzzles, as typical of the sparrow that closes its eyes to the danger of a prowling cat. Surely, the eyes’ shutting doesn’t chase the cat away. Rather, it makes the sparrow an easy delicacy for the cat. Modern men and women are so preoccupied with studying the external world to an extent, we have forgotten to explore the inner world. Some don’t even believe the inner world exists. Thus; we only worry about the cure for our aches and pains, our asthma, rheumatism and all that, without taking a thought for the cure of our feverish desires and unworthy ambitions.

We are concerned with that which takes us to nowhere beyond the world of duality and regretfully, would not avail for us on the day of reckoning, when we have to face the Gatekeeper of the world of duality, to render the account of our stewardship and at which court, we cannot escape until our soul is

cleansed of all sins and unfulfilled desires. It seems strange that though all must tread the path of life, very few would able to have a glimpse of wither they are going. In effect, we wander through life, blow hither and thither from cradle to the tomb, without an inkling of our true destination, which is not the

tomb per se, but rather the discovery of our “Super Self” In all of these, we mustn’t be despaired, we must be encouraged in our quest for the Truth with a simple question such as: Would the Supreme Lord permit a spiritually starved seeker to go un fed? In the Bible Christ was quoted to have said:

“What man is there of you whom if his son asks for bread, he will give him a stone” The comforting news is that the testimony of all Saints, Avatars, Sages and true Adepts confirmed, that whoever had sincerely knocked, the door has been opened, while the unwavering seekers truly findeth. Therefore, to stimulate our thoughts to unravel the mystery of life that man is faced with, upon taking his very first breath is the summum bonum of this book. It is given out free, and must never be sold or reproduced. He who does any of these heaps a burden of karma on himself, for freely man is receiving from the Master-Giver and freely man must give and freely he must equally receive.
