Kindly talk to us about today’s event
We are here purposely because of Lekan Olatunji. It’s all about his movie “The Life Of A Single Father” we are doing something very big, so you people should just keep anticipating. Single Father, it is all about Lekan Olatunji’s story.
It is about his life.
His true life story?
Yes.
Biola has been one of the best actresses, people can reckon with. How has it been? And how did acting start for you?
Let’s thank God for life. Well actually I joined Odunlade Adekola which is OAFP Film Production in 2008. Odunlade Adekola is a boss, a mentor, he is everything in this industry which you all know. I graduated from OAFP eight or ten years ago and since then, I thank God I’m still here, I’m still an actor that you guys know as Biola Adekunle and I know very soon I will get there. Yes, I will get to the top, very very soon.
So, let’s talk about some of your productions?
Like, you guys have seen “Bibiere” , it is from Biola Adekunle. “Asake Alagbada Ina” that one is still recent, it is still on youtube showing on Apata. The one that is coming very soon is “Alaba” produced by me, directed by Odunlade Adekola, you guys should just watch out for it and I have one that we will be doing very soon “Omoolukoso” it is a culture thing, so watch out for it.
How do you manage your home and career, as an actress and a married woman?
Well, firstly, let’s thank God and I will also thank my husband as well because he understands the nature of my job and he has always been there for me. Whenever I’m going to location he just prays for me and he stays back to watch over our kids. So far so good, we thank God for life, I don’t have any regret being a married woman and an actor at the same time.
There was a time you had issues with a movie marketer?
That has been resolved for a long time. He has reached out to me and we’ve settled everything amicably. We are talking now and he has been sending me some money.
What are the challenges that producers face or are dealing with nowadays?
It has not been easy because mostly now all our jobs are being shown on youtube and we just have to beg our fans, our lovers to watch our movies. But at times the views are not much and if the views is not up to what we expect, that means we won’t be able to make our money from the project, if the views are lesser. But we thank God, we have a lot of fans out there, so if you reach out to them that my new movie is out, please go and watch it, with the love they have for you, people will watch it. We thank God. It is all about views. If there is no much views, there is no how we can make our money. So, I will just beg all our fans out there that whenever our movie is out, they should just go to YouTube and watch our productions as a way of encouraging us. That’s all I have to say.
