Burial holds 2pm today
Mother of the Chairman and CEO of Afia Construction, Engr Abdul-Jelyl Adekunle Karheem, popularly known as Adanla, Princess (Alhaja) Aolat Apinke Karheem Adanla, is dead.
Adanla, who doubles as Mogaji of Adanla Compound and the Turaki Adini of Oyo State, confirmed in a chat with our reporter that Alhaja Karheem died on Friday, 31st May 2024, after a brief illness.
She will be buried today (Saturday) by 2:00 pm at her Sango, Ibadan residence, he added.
He said, “I really thank God for Mama’s life. She lived an exemplary life. She was a bridge builder and a community leader. My mother mentored and nurtured so many people including us, her biological children.“
