In response to PDP reconciliation plans to wrestle power from his party (APC) come 2019, the executive governor of Oyo State Abiola Ajimobi has embarked on serious networking to counter this move. Last week, the governor met with two prominent politicians in the state, Exi-Gov. Alao Akala and former Senate Leader Teslim Folarin, in U.K.
The meeting, which held at Teslim Folarin’s mansion in London, we gathered was successful and new political alignment within Oyo APC is underway. This new development was confirmed last week when the picture taken during the meeting surfaced on social media and has since been going viral. This latest move ,however, is expected by those who understand the dynamism in Oyo politics.
Number one, Akala shortly after the last elections has joined hands with Ajimobi; his friend. While Teslim on the other hand has somehow gone to the background since the Senator Alimodu Sherif group lost out of the power tussle at the federal level and has not not been party of the new reconciliation plans.
