Alarede Engagement Academy is a school, where they teach how to anchor marriages in a traditional way. The CEO is a popular broadcaster turned professional marriage engagers, Foluso Ogunjimi , famously addressed as Sokoyokoto. On Tuesday, 31st January 2023, Alarede Engagement Academy, held their annual Thanksgiving party in Lagos. Many old students and intending students all trooped to 9/11 Alarede Engagement Academy School, in Oregun Ikeja, Lagos.
There was meet and greet with the CEO in the morning, where intending students were able to meet the CEO for proper introduction.
Students took their seats in the Alarede Engagement Academy Hall, and it was beautifully decorated in lovely colour combination. They all dazzled in an expensive white lace and cream headgear.
Mrs. Foluso Ogunjimi also dazzled in an expensive cream gown, mixed with gold design and cream fascinator. Apart from her beauty, many people respect her style of anchoring traditional marriages. She is a lover of the masses, she serves as a mentor to many and her hands are always spread to embrace people.
The event started with praise worship. The CEO was seated with the exco’s on the high table.
The Chairperson of the day was Mrs Sesebor, She was also the Matron of the school. In her speech, she appreciated the students , especially the students who contributed to make the event a reality. She appreciated the CEO for the encouragement and always having trust in her. She advised the students to keep the love strong in their midst and prayed God will see them all, to see another thanksgiving.
The CEO in her remarks, thanked God almighty for seeing another annual thanksgiving party. The party could not hold last year, due to some reasons, “but, we thank God we are alive to celebrate another annual thanksgiving today, and we pray to celebrate more in Jesus name” she said.
“Like I said, this academy is to build homes, we are home makers. Our job is beyond, do the job and leave, our role as an engager , is to make sure we pray very well for the couple, both families and the guests. We have some homes that are not branded in prayers, or the devil did not want such homes to settle , or to come together, our role is to commit such homes to the Lord before we start or after we are done.”
“Also, as an engager, you don’t need to waste time in your assignment, do your job perfectly, smartly and leave. My source is God almighty, I don’t know any other source but God, commit everything to him and He will see you through.”
Awards were given to the best students, best staff of the year and other students who did very well.
There were questions and answers from the students, there was also elections, new executives were elected. Mrs Adetola Ilesanmi was elected as the new Chairperson , while Mrs Ebun Aramide was elected as the Vice Chairman.
