On Tuesday 2nd May 2022,Lagos Celebrity Lady, Alhaja Fausat Oluwakemi Agbeke Awoniyi celebrated her 60th birthday (barakallah fii umurik) in a unique and compact way, with her husband, Alhaji Nuremi Olanlawon Awoniyi and her children,namely,Dolapo Awoniyi ,kola Awoniyi,temi Awoniyi ,daughter-in-law senufunmi showowale and grand children,Funmi shobowale,ireloluwa shobowale,and farida shobowola.
The event took place at the Bee Hive School,Dosunmu street,Agidingbi,ikeja Lagos .
The outer place of the hall was laid out with a green rug and a banner designed with the celebrant’s pictures, placed at each angle of the rug, for guests to showcase their outfits ,while they took pictures.
Inside ,were white chiffon linen fabrics draped across the four walls of the hall to beautify the hall way and the tables were covered with baby pink flowered design cotton materials and napkins and a comfort chairs.
Entering into the hall,guests were entertained by QUEEN MADIVA & her Band.They were already playing before guests started coming into the hall, with back to back tungba tunes.As the invitees stepped in, they started vibing to her music.
After guests settled in the Mc,Blaqtalk_Comedian, announced the grand entry of the celebrant.
The pleasing and gorgeous celebrant was dressed in a Burgundy Sequence lace iro and buba,with a 3D Swiss gele and ipele,and she completed it with a purple half shoe and purse .
The celebrant danced in with her 3 grand daughters,in front.She and her husband came in with friends,family,colleagues and well wishers.
The celebrant doesn’t look 60,especially with the way she took her dance steps.Her husband was not left out in the jubilation mood.They both showed their dancing skills, vibing to Queen Madiva’s music,as they were ushered to their seat.
The Mc then took over by asking the guests to come out and say one or two things about the celebrant
Her in -law said Alhaja fausat Agbeke Awoniyi is so passionate and good ,and that her daughter is the 1st daughter-in-law to Mrs Agbeke.But you won’t know ,because she took her own daughter like her own and treats her nicely and can die for her, just to see her live. Fortunately for her, one of her grand daughters,Latifat Oreoluwa was given birth to on Mrs Agbeke’s birthday, which happens to be 1st May(11years ago).She also said if she stayed on talking about the celebrant, she wouldn’t drop the mic.She went ahead to pray for the celebrant and her hubsand .
Mrs Bukola Dalumo who happens to be one of the celebrant’s friends and colleague at Ikeja Local Government secretariat.
She said Kemi is such a lovely being ,so kind that she can’t hurt a fly.”Our friendship dates back to 1996.We were all in the local government together.I was at Ikeja local government,while she was at Mushin local government .Each time she was coming back from work, she will branch at ikeja, while we would all pick up our kids from school and assemble at Ikeja local government to gist ,play, and have fun.We all go to each others ceremonies .Kemi has been a wonderful person.She is someone you can’t but love.She went ahead to give thanks to Mr Nureni Awoniyi for taking care of her friend and standing by her side always.She backed it up with prayers .
Otunba Fadipe Falayo spoke next.He said” I have been listening to the testimonies of our dear sisters here, but you will permit me to express myself with a Song to summarize all we have been saying with our native song.He went ahead to sing and the guests that are familiar with it sang along ,while the celebrant (Mrs Agbeke)stood up to dance .
Mrs Seunfunmi Sobowale(daughter-in-law )to the celebrant, started with a prayer and knelt down, to thank her for all she has done for her. “Mum and dad,I appreciate both of you.”
She said the 1st time she got pregnant, she was the first person to know, even before she told her own mother.Then, I was having a dead baby in my womb.Mummy was there with me all through till everything was settled.”
“And when I got pregnant again, mommy was there for me.Daddy will buy ofada every Saturday from Iperu, because I want to eat.Before I wake up, the ofada will be right beside me.During delivery ,mommy was there.She was the first person to see her grand child, which happens to share the same birthday date with her.I want to thank her for everything she has done for me ,my husband,and children.And for all my husband’s siblings ,mom you will eat the fruit of your labour in the mighty name of God.”
The grandkids Ireoluwa,Funmi and farida also wrote speeches for there grand ma.
The 1st grand daughter said May the lord grant you long life .Wishing you the most youngest 60th birthday ever .Thank you grand ma for bathing me when I was weeks old.Thank you for the love and kindness and for sharing same birthday with me. I love you ma.”
The 2nd grand child startedby saying, Happy birthday, grand ma.May almighty Allah keep blessing you with good health .Thank you for the care when I was a baby and for always going to the hospital with my mom to make sure I was takencare of .I love you so much grandma.”;
And the 3rd grand daughter wished grand maa happy birthday .
The celebrant stood up from her seat and went to each table, without missing a single one, to show appreciation to all her guests before leaving to change into her 2nd outfit.
While guests were waiting for the second arrival of the celebrant, Rukkies chops and drinks, brought in mouth watering delicious meals to lift the soul and body of the guests.
The celebrant changed into a sequence yellow and blue iro and buba lace,with a blue purse to match.She also wore a half shoe and made an appearance back into the hall with her hubsand,while Madiva Band started right from were they stopped ,with rebranded energy.This time 90% of the guests couldn’t keep calm.They stood up to dance to the amazing voice of Queen Madiva, while she kept giving it too them, hot, hot Her husband Mr Nureni’s friends were not left out.They came loaded to make money rain .
Then came the after- party.The celebrant (Mrs Agbeke) changed into a lovely evening blue black dress to match the atmosphere .
Dj latt took everyone to the next level with different hip hop mix which made everyone tabaye.
