To celebrate his wife’s achievement, Dr. Olubanwo threw a lavish party where they hosted the church, community members, friends, and associates. The party was a success and included a talent show competition.
The competition had five different groups, including AZ’ Major, Amuludun Drama Troupe, Irawo Crew, and Aare Theatre Crew. After a keenly contested show, winners emerged, and they were handsomely rewarded. MRS. OLUWAKEMI A. OLUBANWO, THE NEW IYA IJO Of ST. PETER’S AFRICAN CHURCH MANY PEOPLE DON’T KNOW
Mrs. Oluwakemi A. Olubanwo is a clinician and philanthropist who resides in Canada. She is the President of Regal Wellness Foundation Incorporated, a charity organization based in Canada, and also serves as the Executive Director of Unicemed Consortium Incorporated. She is married to Dr. Taiwo Olubanwo, a well-known philanthropist and business magnate.
A glance at her resume displays her professional and compassionate nature. Dr. Kemi Olubanwo is a remarkable figure in the corporate world, holding leadership positions in several top organizations. She is the Executive Director of Unicemed Consortium Inc., Vice President of BanwOil Petroleum Limited, Vice President of Zenith City Hotel and Suite, Managing Director of Western Vacation Home, and the Chief Editor of Northern Health, Canada.
In addition to her corporate roles, Dr. Kemi Olubanwo is a natural giver, as evidenced by her presidency of the Regal Wellness Foundation Inc (RWFI) – a charity organization based in Canada. She co-founded RWFI with her husband, Dr. Taiwo Olubanwo, who is a business magnate, Chairman and CEO of BanwOil Petroleum Limited, and Chairman of Unicemed Consortium Inc., Canada. “As humans, we were created for a purpose – I am pleased and humbled to have touched many lives within the past decades,” says Kemi. “Giving back to the community, particularly those with disproportionate social determinants of health, is a call that I don’t take lightly,” adds Kemi.
Under Kemi’s leadership, the RWFI team in Canada has sponsored several charitable projects, including free healthcare outreaches, community development projects, and programs that empower people of all ages who need self-development regardless of their location and affiliation. Kemi and her husband, in partnership with RWFI, recently donated an electric power transformer, community development funds, capacity building and empowerment funds, clean water project funds, free healthcare services, and free nutrition to many rural communities.
What is most striking about her personality is that, despite her many accomplishments, she remains humble, calm, and collected. In a few weeks from now, she would be honored with more accolades.
