Few months after the arrival of a new baby into the household of a prominent Yoruba monarch, Oba Enitan Oguwusi, the Ooni of Ife in Osun state, another prominent king from Osun State, the Timi of Ede kingdom in Osun state has also welcomed a set of twins, according to reports by BBC Yoruba service on Sunday.
The new set of twins is from Olori Ayeesha Omowunmi Lawal. The Queen joins several wives of kings in Yoruba land who has given birth to set of twins in the past.
Recall that several of the wives of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi has also given birth to twins in the past.
The Timi of Ede, Oba Muniru Lawal was born into the Laminisa ruling house of the late Bariyu Abefe Lawal and Alhaja Akanke Lawal, who hailed from Ile Imole compound in Ede, Osun state.
The king, Oba Lawal, who grew up in his maternal family’s compound, is the 13th Timi of Ede. He was born in 1956.
