The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III has slammed the new generation royal fathers who openly have fun like the regular people. He made this statement at the Installation Ceremony of the Mayegun of Yorubaland, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal 1, on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the royal palace in Oyo.
While commending K1 De Ultimate for his new chieftaincy title, he urged his fellow musicians to imitate his good behaviors and moral standing in the industry and not promoting lewd songs.
He also urges the new generation of Obas to conserve the highly enviable, and exalted position of a Royal Highness and desists from going to clubs to dance, drink and smoke.
According to him, ‘any Oba that goes out to smoke and drink is not fit to be called an Oba. Any oba that goes out to dance in the open place is not fit to be called a king.
