It promises to be another biggest cluster of men and women in Lagos as Arise Women Founder, lawyer and gender activist, Siju Iluyomade set to host her annual event, Arise Walk for Life and Arise conference 2020 this October.The popular theme for this year event is Staying Alive. She will be leading thousands of women and men in a pulsating walk, aerobics and rhythmic dances to keep fit and keep life. The peg for this year’s event is centered around exercise.This is the much talked about Arise Walk for Life, a global initiative specially dedicated for Nigerians to keep up with our health in general.
The anticipation for this year’s edition, scheduled for Saturday 17th of October 2020, has been alarming owning to the preparedness of many individuals who want to come together and stay alive.The event which begins at 7:00am from each area all over the country is expected to be a massive rendezvous with the expected presence of stars and celebrities from sports, the entertainment industry and icons of business. The now celebrated annual event will also attract captains of industry, technocrats, the political class, diplomats, spiritual leaders and people from all walks of life. Each clusters runs across Nigeria, London, United States of America, Canada and various isolation centres. Each cluster will be having a minimum of 25 persons amongst who are influencers and celebrities that have always been part of Arise Women.
The Arise Walk for Life is part of the events that holds every year as fore-runners to the flagship event, Arise Women’s Conference. The first leg of the programme was the Skill Acquisition and Empowerment programme where many women were empowered.
The conference also promises to be a glowing arena for good works and a confluence of inspiration and hope as it will be graced by serving and former First Ladies, Wives of Federal and State Legislators, Captains of industry, international guests, and technocrats.
Some of the important personalities leading the walk includes Lagos state commissioner for health, Prof Akin Abayomi, First Lady of kebbi state, Dr Zainab Bagudu,the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sports and Super Eagles legend, Daniel Amokachi, other football legends, Julius Aghahowa, Garba Lawal, Tijani Babangida, Yakubu Aiyegbeni.
