Army Arrests Man For Supplying Weapons, Logistics To Bandits In Katsina

The Nigerian Army has said troops on Exercise Harbin Kunama III, arrested a logistics supplier for bandits hiding between Jibia – Batsari axis of Katsina State.

A statement yesterday from Army spokesman Colonel Sagir Musa said the supplier one Marwana Abubakar was arrested at Kwashabawa village in Jibia Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State on Wednesday the 8th of May 2019.

He also said based on a tip-off, troops of 311 Artillery Regiment, conducted a raid operation on a suspected facility in Kontagora township. He said during the raid, some weapons were discovered and recovered.

He said a local weapons fabricator, Salisu Ibrahim was also arrested by the troops in Kontagora, Kontagora LGA of Niger State.
