On Friday, September 6, friends, family and associates will gather to celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the death of a journalism icon, Dimgba Igwe, pioneer Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of The Sun Publishing Limited, who was killed by a hit-and-run driver in Okota area of Lagos State.
A public lecture, initiated by Femi Adesina, Onuoha Ukeh, Steve Nwosu and Shola Oshunkeye, and titled Tabloid Journalism: Yesterday, Today and The Future will be delivered by Muyiwa Adetiba, pioneer of soft-sell magazines in Nigeria and publisher of Prime People Magazine, at the Colossus Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos by 11 a.m.
The chairman of the occasion is Nduka Obiagbena, publisher/chairman of ThisDay Newspaper and Arise News Television and special guests of honour include Aremo Segun Osoba, former governor of Ogun State; Nosa Igiebor, president of Tell Communications Limited; and Pastor (Mrs) Obioma Dimgba Igwe, the matriarch of the Igwe family.
