She is one of the successful Nigerians living in Australia. And she has been living there for years. A few days ago, Omobolanle Omoga told Citypeople Online her story and why she enjoys living in that country. Below are excerpts of the interview.
Please introduce yourself. Tell me what you do in Australia…
My name is Raimot Bolanle Ogunsola,( nee Bolanle Adebiyi.) I come from Lagos, Nigeria in West Africa. I was born into the family of Engineer K.A Adebiyi and Salimot Adebiyi. I came into the world at exactly 6am, on 28th October 1969.
I was known by my given names,but as I grew taller with age, shortly after I got into secondary school, my father started calling me ‘Omoga’(Tall child). This became part of my identity all through my life.

I am a mother of 4 beautiful kids.I have a daughter who is 22.Then 3 sons aged 19 , 15 & 13 years old.I am
working part time with people with special needs.
I got admission to the University of Lagos in 1991 for Mass Communication. I was so happy, but my happiness didn’t last nor did my entry into the school.
A professor attempted to sexually abuse me right in his office. I managed to escape from him and never returned to the school.
That was the end of my broadcasting. Hmmmmm It well Bolanle.
How is Australia? Tell us about your time in Canada….
Australia is home. Canada is beautiful, while Nigeria is my birthplace and right.
Moving to Canada,at some point in my life really enhanced my understanding of the world.It enabled me to see more in the world and travel without fear in the world. I lived in the border city of Windsor, Ontario,
How do you see the situation of things in Nigeria?
Hmmmmmm Nigeria.

Yeah, it’s saddens my heart in and out . All I know is that NIGERIA WILL BE GREAT AGAIN.
