AWUJALE With 10 OJUDE OBA Committee Members

• How They Will Plan 2018 Ojude Oba Festival

Every year, there is a committee that plans the Annual Ojude-Oba Festival. Unknown to many, this a festival committee is made up of 10 prominent Ijebu Chiefs. They are 9 powerful men and one pretty woman, all Chiefs and Otunbas of the Awujale of Ijebuland Oba Sikiru Adetona. It is their responsibility to host a hitch-free Ojude-Oba. The Chairman is Otunba (Barr.) Wahab Osinusi. He is a respected Ijebu High Chief and Lawyer. He is the Otunba Fidipote of Ijebu. His Vice Chairman in the Ojude Oba Committee is Chief (Barr.) Olu Okuboyejo, who is the Obasewa of Ijebu.

Then, there is the Balogun of Ijebu-Ode, Chief Agboola Alausa. He is a big businessman, real estate guru, politician and socialite. When City People asked him for what to expect at this years Ojude-Oba he said, we all took forward to this years Ojude-Oba Festival. The entirety of Ijebu people are for Ojude Oba. They are pushing for the cultural side. They don’t want to limit it to be the dancing of Regberegbe and the riding of horses, alone. Like the Iyalode now. They want to start coming out to pay homage to Awujale. Like whoever that is sure of himself, that is capable to address issues should come out if he is rich or a well recognised Oloye (that is the high-chiefs). We, the Ojude-Oba committee members are working very, very hard, to make sure that is better. We have laid a foundation. Some of us have been on that committee for going to over 10 years.” Chief Alade Shote is also a member. He is the Otun Balogun of Ijebu-Ode. He is also a successful businessman. Giwa M.A. Odutayo is also a member. He is the President, Ijebu Regberegbe Council.

There is also Chief (Mrs.) Bisi Osibogun the Omeso of Ijebu. This beautiful woman is also a member. Chief (Chief) M.A. Oreagba is also a member. He is the Mayegun of Ijebu. He is also the Secretary, Ijebu Regberegbe Council. Bobayo Sina Okuleye is also a member of the Ojude Oba Festival Committee. He is the Chairman, Ijebu Regberegbe Council organising committee member. There is also Gunte Tunde Alaga. He is the Director of Programme and Opeoluwa Osisanwo who is an Assistant Secretary.
