How They Both Plan To Provide Affordable Housing
If you’re searching for a real estate company that has quietly earned the trust of investors over the past 14 years, look no further than Bashmoh Homes Limited. Currently, it ranks among the best-performing firms in the Property sector. Bashmoh Homes is built on a foundation of trust and integrity, dedicated to providing quality yet affordable homes for ordinary Nigerians, both at home and abroad.
The vision of providing homes for common Nigerians was initiated by Alhaji Bashir Jimoh, a prominent figure in the real estate sector who has established a solid reputation over the years. He founded Bashmoh Homes over 14 years ago in Lagos and currently serves as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Alhaji Jimoh is an active property developer with projects in Lagos, Abuja, Asaba, Enugu and other locations, and is providing quality but affordable despite the economic challenges facing Nigeria. The company also focuses on estate development, mortgage advisory, building engineering and consulting, property leasing and letting, and general land consultation.
A few years ago, Bashmoh Homes Limited entered into a partnership with the Nigerian Air Force to build affordable homes consisting of 2 to 3-bedroom duplexes. Alhaji Jimoh stated, “We want to provide real value in housing prices. One of our major partners in Abuja is the Nigerian Air Force, which plans to deliver two to three-bedroom duplexes at an average price of 50 million Naira and below. For comparison, similar properties in that area typically range from 70 million to 100 million Naira.”
He further explained, “We understand that affordability is subjective. The successful model we’ve implemented with the Nigerian Air Force is the same approach we are trying to replicate in Lagos, Asaba, and Enugu.” Recently, the company and the Nigerian Air Force officially launched the Enugu project, following the earlier launch of the Abuja project.
Alhaji Jimoh also discussed other partnerships: “We have partnered with Abuja Property Development and Nasu-Unilag here in Lagos, among others. For real estate to thrive in 2025 and beyond, we need to focus on establishing long-term relationships rather than mere transactions.”
He added, “Last year, we had 51 estates. Our goal is to increase this number to 70 by the end of 2025. We have already acquired lands from various state governments and are currently working on the necessary paperwork for Certificate of Occupancy (CofO) registration and building approvals with different agencies. For 2025, we are partnering with the Federal Housing Authority to develop the Ashiwaju Ahmed Tinubu Renew Home Ownership Programme.”
“We aim to produce over 600 housing units in Abuja and are finalizing the paperwork. We are also in advanced discussions with the Abuja Property Development Corporation to expand in the Kachi area, focusing on housing for middle- and low-income earners,” he concluded.
Alhaji Bashir Jimoh, the MD/CEO of Bashmoh Homes, established the company about 14 years ago to address the housing sector’s deficit. The company specializes in estate development, mortgage advisory, building engineering and consulting, property leasing and letting, and general land consultation. They offer land and housing across the country, with properties in Mowe, Magboro, Simawa, the Ibeju Lekki axis, and other locations mentioned above.
