Gwagwalada town, a major Area Council in the city of Abuja literally went agog last weekend as big boys and money spinners from all over Nigeria and the diaspora locked down Gwagwalada main town as Abuja based Accountant, Ayo Majolagbe married his long time heartthrob, Rosemary Ogbonna in Gwagwalada, Abuja. The ceremony was well attended by who is who in Abuja/Lagos/ Akure/Ibadan societies.

 

As befitting of an Ibadan Prince and the pedigree of his family, the wedding attracted the crème la de crème from royalty, media, politics, public service and the general public.

 

The colourful wedding took place inside the prestigious Atlas Int’l Hotel, Gwagwalada, Abuja.

The lovely hall was well decorated in Turquoise and purple. It had over 1000 guests from the 2 families and everyone had a place to sit. The transparent Chavari chairs and Tortuous and purple table decorations all added beauty to the event.

The Reception was chaired by Ikechukwu Ogbuji, while the CEO of Grand Atelier Ltd, Hajiya Binta Sani Abubakar was the Mother of the day

GROOM’S FRIENDS

Some of the groom’s friends were present at the event. They were all looking so cute and handsome in their black suit and pitch tie. Those present were Otitoju Dare (Best Man), Dare Sofolabo, Deji Adeshile, Ifeanyi Oputa, Olu Michael Babash, Habeeb Babatunde and Emmanuel Ogbonna.

AND THE BRIDE’S FRIENDS TOO

Many of the bride’s friends were present at the event. They all turned out in their pitch dress with the same hair style and they all reflected it in their make-up, looking so gorgeous and pretty on them.

WEDDING COLOURS

The colors of the day were Turquoise and purple.

Both colours mixed did justice to guests outfit as they came out nice on everyone. Many of the guests wore purple- pink outfits, while the headgears which were the Gele were a mix of blush pink and royal blue.

 

HAJIYA BINTA SANI ABUBAKAR’S SPEECH

“There are sons and there are sons, Ayo is a special son. Mr and Mrs Majolagbe, thank you for raising a special son. Ayo has changed the lives of everyone around him. Ayo has changed my own life. Ayo, I love you so much. Keep the good deed and the sky will be your limit.”

These were the words that triggered uncontrollable emotions from both bride and groom and the guest. While everyone was high in the euphoria of Ayo’s priceless gesture, Hajia threw the guests off balance by presenting the groom with a mouth-watering, news-breaking and tongue rolling wedding gift. She spiced up the ceremony with this announcement and the crowd went wild for a minute or two.

 

THE TOAST

The toast was said by the Groom’s best man, Dare Otitoju. He took the guests, way back into his 12 years friendship with Ayo and how he’s been a gentleman who has lived his life mostly for others and how he has built his happiness around the happiness of everyone around him. He was also caught up in high emotion has he profoundly wish the new couple a happy and fruitful home.

BRIDE’S SPECIAL NUMBER

The groom was blown away in the pool of emotion, as the beautiful bride, got up and picked up the microphone in connivance with the DJ to render a special love song for her sweetheart. She dazzled her man and the entire guests with a special number from Canadian Soul Singer Grammy Award winner, Shania Twain’s From This Moment.

The tears that rolled freely from the emotionally-studded groom reveals that true words don’t matter how much time it is said, it sounds new each time it is said.

The feelings were pure, true and blissful altogether..

THE DAY WAS ALL ABOUT THE COUPLE

The newest couple in town Ayo and Rose looked nice in their choice of outfit for the day which was very unique. The bride wore a very lovely and expensive shoe and she exuded opulence.

The groom also wore an expensive suit with a tie which looked so cute and regal on him.
