Ahead of the year 2021 edition of the much anticipated Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards, the organizers of the annual event on Friday, September 10, released a list of nominees for the coveted awards ceremony.
This was done as part of the 3-in-1 dinner held to commemorate the 45th birthday celebration of its founder Seun Oloketuyi. Other activity held on the night at Radisson Blu, Ikeja, Lagos was book launch which was highly patronized by dignitaries at the event.
Honouring outstanding achievements in the Nigerian movie industry, Best of Nollywood (BON) Awards is the longest serving, touring awards. It has been staged in four out of the six Geo-political zones of the country where states like Lagos, Ogun, Delta, Rivers, Ondo, Abia, Oyo, Kano, and Ekiti played host to the ceremony. It inaugural edition was held in 2009 at the seat of the Lagos state government in Ikeja.
The year 2021 BON Awards would be held in Kogi State with Governor Yaya Bello playing the host of the glamorous event.
After the rigorous screening of movies submitted, the list of nominees in the 30 different categories of this year’s awards was released featuring the likes of Sola Sobowale; Femi Adebayo; Lateef Adedimeji; Stan Nze; Mercy Aigbe; Iyabo Ojo among others top contenders.
