On Sunday, 5th February Pastor Faith Oyedepo, the beautiful wife of Bishop Oyedepo, the General Overseer of Winners Chapel worldwide turned 60. And she celebrated it in a big way. The entire church came together to celebrate their mother and mentor who had impacted their lives in many ways. It was a joyous moment for Bishop Oyedepo and his children for a jubilee attainment of Pastor Mrs Faith Oyedepo.
The woman who has been running the affairs of winners chapel with her husband had a colourful party. It started with a Praise night on Friday, Feb 2nd at the youth Chapel, Canaan land with over 5 artistes who graced the stage, the likes of Evangelist Bola Are, Evang Tope Alabi, Nathaniel Bassey, Bukola Bekes and others. It was followed with thanksgiving service on Sunday, February 4th at Faith Tabernacle while a special thanksgiving service to celebrate her day was held on her birthday, Sunday, February 5th at Youth Chapel, Canaan land. It was also the day that the faith Abiola Oyedepo Foundation inaugurated their yearly medical day of service.
Pastor Faith Oyedepo looked beautiful in a multicolor flowery tulle lace sewn into a dress with a matching white aso oke headgear. She complemented her look with a gold shoe and bag. There was also a lovely reception for her where she wore a white polish lace and matched it up with a navy blue and red aso oke wrapper with an all stoned aso oke headgear.
Many important dignatries stormed her birthday and she had a lovely time around her children and most especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and who never leaves her sight at anytime. Among those in attendance include Pastor EA Adeboye of RCCG who presided over the sermon and his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, Bishop David Abioye of Goshen Land LFC, Bishop Thomas Aremu, Dr Pastor Paul Enenche of Dunamis with his wife, Pastor David Ibiyeomie of Salvation Ministries and his wife, Pastor Femi Emmanuel and Wife, Bishop Feb Idahosa, Pastor Obong Ntia, and the entire Oyedepo family.
Pastor Mrs faith Abiola Oyedepo’s life is as beautiful as she is and even more than because she has dedicated her life to God for many years. She has been a mentor to many and has grown and supported the winners chapels ministry with her husband. Her husband is her greatest partner, friend and lover and no wonder, Bishop Oyedepo penciled a lovely note to her on her birthday, “Happy 60th birthday to my wife, faith Abiola Oyedepo, you are more beautiful in every way with every passing day, I am grateful to God for blessing me with you”. He also revealed what she went through during her illness and how God came true for her,
“My wife is here today celebrating her 60th birthday. Death came to seize her in 2004. But Jesus stepped in to destroy the devil…In the midst of that attack, I was in 27 nations, blasting the head of the devil, with a wife dying! Seek ye first the interest of My kingdom and leave the rest to Me… She’s on her feet today…I said to Jesus, ‘that you heal her is not what makes you my God. Whether you heal her or not, you are my God.’. In today’s world, many aspire but few, negligibly few, attain. Bishop Faith Oyedepo has proved many times without number that she is a success. Not only is she a success in the vineyard of God ,She is also a success in every area of her life. Her husband pioneers the Nigeria’s largest church auditorium and has successfully taken the gospel of Christ to another level.
Behind this amiable pastor David Oyedepo is a beautiful woman, mummy Faith as many call her. She has been a pillar of support to him and the ministry. Pastor Faith Abiola Oyedepo propagates the Good News of Jesus Christ along with her husband, in numerous nations of the world, with a mission to liberate the oppressed. The mandate that culminated into this ministry was received in 1981. She is the Vice President, Education, of the Living Faith Church Worldwide and the Proprietor of Covenant University.
She has a ministry to families and homes, which she has dedicated her life to, by showing people the perfect will of God for their homes and relationships. She also has a divine call to make her shoulders available, and enrich the lives of singles in a unique way. She is in charge of the women ministry, youth and single, Teenagers and family ministry and coordinated some of the affairs of the dominion publishing.
Pastor Faith is endeared to many in Nigeria, and across the globe, especially for her endless work in strengthening the family unit. She has written several books, and maximized various avenues of communication, such as media outlets, to become an authority in the area of family, youth, and women empowerment, as well as marital success. With her life as a practical example, she has been able to portray a model lifestyle for others to replicate. She has demonstrated in practical terms and through deep spiritual insight, that the home can truly be the Eden that God created it to be.
Her passion has been further strengthened by a recent happening in her life, in which her health was challenged, and she was supernaturally delivered from death. This renewed her zeal and hunger to impact her world. Today, she is back, preaching God’s Word with a renewed sense of urgency and passion. This experience has been captured in her most exciting book, Rescued from Destruction. Despite all that God has accomplished in and through her, she believes that there are still more lives to impact and that the best is yet to come.
During the praise night which was organised for her surprisingly by her children and husband, she gave a shocking testimony of her life, I happened to be the 6th child out of 8 children of my parents and God gave me the privilege of accepting him as my Lord and savior as a teenager, I got baptised in the Holyghost with the help of speaking in tongues in 1976 without anyone pray for me and since that time I have never ever have any reason for regret.
It has been from one level of glory to another. God is too faithful to fail, whenever you are going through any health challenge and you are doubting God, remember me. I am sure all of you remembered about my illness in 2004 but this is me shaming the devil because he has failed. Even the doctors told me I will not be able to use my left hand again, but this is me. I did not look like what I have passed through.
Jesus is the one dignifying my steps. We are all gathered together tonight not because of me but because of the Jesus in me, I am really shocked and surprised to see many people all across the world to celebrate me. I appreciate everyone, I can’t begin to mention everyone’s name but most respectfully, God’s servant, my husband, my pastor, prophet that God has given me the opportunity to go in this journey of life together with.
We have been walking on this journey as husband and wife for almost 35 years. and it’s getting better and sweeter by the day. I am so appreciative and the Lord of heaven will reward you. He also kept the planning away from me and whenever I ask what the plan is, he won’t say anything so I said I just want a small something. Everybody kept quiet until I started having feedbacks from outside, I am very grateful sir, I don’t know where I would have been today if God never brought me your way. I am so grateful because spiritually I have so much grown and I know that we still have many more years together”. She has been happily married for over three decades now, with four wonderful grown up children, and grandchildren.
