Let me start with X5 Drinks and Cocktail, it started about 10 years ago November 1st. This year would be 10 and it has been a big deal. Ipinlese Talk Show started about 2years ago and it’s still on YouTube we are on season 2, it will be airing on cable and TV very soon
How soon would that be?
Before the end of this year, Because African magic has taken it already.
What can people learn from the talk show? What is it about?
The idea about it is to make people remember home, Especially people far from home, those in the diaspora. It’s an indigenous talk home. The talk show is to make people respect our culture. To know more about our value has Yoruba people. From statistics, we can hear our values and culture as Yoruba people are going on extinction, meaning the special effects of being a Yoruba will go down. So it’s to let people far from home know that they can’t talk down on Yoruba culture.
Is the talk show only on Yoruba culture?
Yes, we call scholars in Yoruba culture to tell us more about the culture, People that are fashionable, and people that a doing Yoruba fashion business. These are the people we investigate and call on our show, to talk more about the idea of wearing a bead, what is it about Irukere, what is it about our drums, and things that are hidden from people to know.
You said the talk show is on YouTube, what’s the account name?
Okay, they can follow us on Instagram Ipinlese Talk Show and it will bring them to the YouTube page from a link in our Instagram, to see all the episodes, so far we have done about 50 episodes, and we have invited many Yoruba bright minds on the show and they have talked a lot about our culture. As much as our fashion in Yoruba land, everyone that watches the show, they will know that Yoruba people are so deep and valuable.
