It was an evening of fun when Prince Bisi Olatilo hosted a classy 65th birthday for Shade, his wife of 41 years, in Lagos. Very many important personalities gathered last Friday 30th, September 2022 to celebrate with the ace broadcaster, Prince Bisi Olatilo and his beautiful wife, who is the celebrant, and their children.
The party took place at the Magodo, Lagos residence of the Olatilo’s, where guests were treated to sumptuous meals and exotic drinks. The party started at about 4pm and Pastor Dotun Ojelabi of the Covenant Harvest Christian International Ministry who is a close friend of Prince Bisi Olatilo presided over activities. He started the programme with songs of praise, then he delivered a short and concise words of exhortation and afterwards prayed for the couple.
The celebrant, looked so good for her day. The dress code simply says White on denim. She understood the assignment and the “Birthday Girl” did not disappoint as she rocked a customised white top and a grey denim. She pulled the look off with her well knitted braids. Many of her friends and families all came together to celebrate with her. Many of them inturn took time out to eulogise the birthday girl who has got a heart of God. Those were the dominant words they stamped on the celebrant and the fact that she is a prayer woman.
Most of them emphasised on her positive accolades to describe how good she is to everyone. Turning 65 and hale and hearty in this clime is a big feat , but not only is she hale and hearty, she really does not look 65. She looked less her age. She was celebrated in a big way amongst her very good friends and families who stormed their residence.
Give it to her husband, he surely knows how to pull the big crowd even if he is having a private party. Many of them were well represented at the birthday party. He is a man of many parts and many love to always pay him back for his goodwill. Their Magodo residence wore a new look and even the residents knew a popular man who lives in the neighbourhood.
The venue was well decorated in colours of white and gold and the table setting was in the same colours. As revealed by Prince Bisi Olatilo, the delicacies and all other things were taken care of by the children. They were the ones who planned the party and it turned out well.
Some of the many personalities who graced the occassion were Aare Kola Oyefeso. He is one of the respected men in Nigeria. He is 78 now but he does not look it. He is still very fit and active in many social clubs of which he is a member. One of them is Lagos Country Club where he was a former President and BOT member for years. The Balogun of Ode Remo. He was the first to speak about the celebrant, he described her as a Godly woman who always prays for her family. He also revealed that he rarely stays up to 1 hour at events because he is a vegetarian but because he loves the Olatilos. So, he stayed for over 3 hours. At the party were also top members of the Yoruba Tennis Club, led by its Chairman, Chief Babajide Damazio. Present was also the past Chairman of the club, Barr. Dele Martins. Some other top members and dignatries at the birthday were popular property merchant, Chief Gbenga Obasa, Ambassador Toyin Lawal, popular businessman, Otunba Deji Osibogun, Hon Rasak Muse, Ace broadcaster, Soni Irabor, Mr Gbolahan Funsho and many others.
To add colour and glamour to the event were some society women in large numbers who graced the occassion. Most of them are close friends of the celebrant. Amongst them were Barrister Shade Balogun, the Iyalode of Itori Land, despite that she attended event back to back in the last weeks, she still showed up for her friends birthday and who incidentally bears the same name with her. She wore a lovely white sequenced top and a stony accesorised denim. She looked beautiful as usual. She was one of those who spoke glowingly about the celebrant. She mentioned that the celebrant never jokes with prayer and there is nothing she is doing that the Olatilos will not support her. She also rained some prayers on the celebrant and her family. Other celebrity women who graced the occassion were Mrs Vivian Ajibola, Mrs Dupe Akin Ajayi, Mrs Seriki, Mrs Lawal, Hajia Zainab Funsho and many others . They all looked very lovely in their white top and denim. The outfit brought out the youthful part of them.
The celebrant was full of joy as she appreciated all guests who came to show her love and support on her birthday. She thanked her husband, her family and many of her friends of over 40 years who were there.
The children, from Jide and Dewunmi to Deola all praised their mum. They prayed for her and appreciated all that she is to them. They also thanked everyone who came to celebrate with their mum. The co-ordination of the cutting of the cake was done by Ijebu big man, Otunba Deji Osibogun. He called on the family and every guests to inturn take photographs with the celebrant.
Shortly after, it was dance, dance, dance till late in the night.
