For the Agbenis, Alhaji Lukmon and Alhaja Olubunmi Agbeni, fondly called ‘Bismid’, Saturday, November 21st, 2020 was undoubtedly a joyous day, full of thanksgiving for them. It was the day they opened a new Bismid outlet called; ‘BISMID ESSENTIALS’, at Tejuosho Ultra-Modern Shopping Complex, Yaba. The epoch-making opening ceremony officially started at about 11 in the morning. The popular saying that behind every successful man is a woman applies with this great family, albeit other way round. Alhaji Lukmon Agbeni, the amiable husband of this renowned beautician, who is also into same business with his wife, is very supportive. He is a shining example of: ‘give a woman all the necessary supports she needs, she will move mountains.’. The two of them run the business together. They are well-travelled and are known locally and internationally, as all the products from their stable meet international standards. Alhaji Lukmon and Alhaja Olubunmi Agbeni are pacesetters in the world of beauty, and have successful carved a niche for themselves in the beauty sector. Bismid Cosmetics is a household name and has been holding the flag high for over two decades. Their customer relationship is of best global practice, leaving a long-lasting‘come-back’ impression on clients and this also extends to all the members of staff. The Agbenis have several awards in their kitty to show for their giant strides in the world of beauty and entrepreneurship respectively. Simplicity they say is beauty. This aptly describes the Agbenis. While Alhaja Lukmon Agbeni turned out for the occasion gorgeous in a white brocade, he was modestly complimented by his wife, Mrs Olubunmi Agbeni. The Matriarch of the Agbeni dynasty wore a Classy multi-coloured lace. Wow! One cannot but notice her simplicity.
ABOUT THE EVENT
It was the grand opening of a new outlet of Bismid; ‘BISMID ESSENTIALS’, at Tejuosho Ultra-Modern Complex, Yaba. The opening was branded with ZIKEL COSMETICS. Their products are top-notch, very good makeup products in different shades of skin colour and variants. The marketers of ZIKEL Cosmetics were ‘hot’, just as they were courteous, in their banded ZIKEL T-shirts. First impression matters. There is no gainsaying the fact that they were good representatives of the brand at the well-attended event. Thanks to its appealing and inviting ambiance in this popular complex, BISMID ESSENTIALS is obviously a must-go-to one-stop outlet inside Tejuosho Ultra-Modern Complex. Another thing that is working for the brand is that it is an international brand that has gone far and near, and a force to reckon with among fashionistas of repute. Bismid has being inside the Tejuosho Ultra-Modern Complex in the last two years, recording huge success. It has 2 large stores, including the newly opened one. Everyone wants to be identified with success. Before and even while the opening was going, it was beehive of activities at the shop opposite Bismid Cosmetics, as customers thronged the spa for facials, pedicure, manicure, nail treatment, makeup for owambes. etc.
The new addition to the Bismid family is called BISMID COSMETICS ESSENTIALS, because it’s a one-stop-shop where one can easily get cosmetics, toiletries and provisions at pocket-friendly prices, e.g milk, corn flakes, quaker oats, and Horlicks. Even as customers shop, there are varieties of snacks one can choose from for a refreshing shopping experience, such as: Pringles, smarties, chewing gums, Fox chunky cookies of different flavours as well as chocolate.
The new shop was beautifully decorated with glittery balloons of different colours: pink, gold, lilac, white.
The decor was courtesy of Steph’s Signature. It was indeed a busy day with customers/shoppers trooping in and out, and for every purchase, freebies were given.
A reliable and hardworking staff member of Bismid Cosmetics, DAMILOLA AFOLABI, fondly called ‘Milolo’, has been doing a yeoman’s job, coordinating and supervising the Tejuosho outlet, since it first got into the complex two years ago. It is to her credit that two other outlets were opened in the same Tejuosho Complex.
BISMID ESSENTIALS stocks a good number of foreign brand cosmetics side by side her own unique products and makeup. Brands like: Neutrogena, QEI, St. Ives, topfacecetaphil, Milano, Note, Mary Kay, Glam gals, classic, Zaron make up, and others. Also, all the range of Bismid’s cosmetics Paris products were on display.
The opening was coordinated by an Assistant Commissioner of Police, Fathai Tijani. The senior Police officer started with prayers, and went on to cut the ribbons tied to the entrance. Thereafter, guests, well-wishers, and customers were ushered into the beautiful interior. Without mincing words, the event was a talk of the town.

Mrs Fareeda a beautician Md/ceo of House of Phreeda, Laide Olorunwa wife of NURTW former boss, Mrs Keji Atoyegbe, a biz guru In Textiles MD/CEO of Glory store, one of the leading textiles in Lagos island. Dupe shine-shine, one of the respected beautician in the industry. Alhaja Laitan- a good designer the MD/CEO Zeena fabrics. Mrs Bola Lawal an event planner, Mrs Oyinkansola- jewelry Lagos biz woman in Lekki. Adufewuraola, Mr Edward a white man who manages the Tejuosho complex was present to congratulate the Agbeni’s, Duchess Signature own by Kabira was also present to celebrate with her, they are known for her classy exclusive Aso -Ebi selection and some celebrities also came to show some loves likes of Kemi Afolabi, Dayo Amusa among others. Some came with gift like honoring her.

WHO DID WHAT?
Ice code own by Mrs Eniola, as usual, displayed what she’s at with her efficient waters on point, attending to guest and customers well. They supplied all the chilled drinks, cocktails, (Bar services) they were on stand by. Mrs Eniola has carved a nitch for herself in the industry and she’s known is not for her delivery strength. Divine catering owner by Mrs Arit Odeinde, supplied the finger-licking food, small chops, with fried plantain (dodo) fried yam (Dundun) fish, Pomo, with her tasty and inviting snails yummy coated with fried pepper stew.
Deteron Events by Simi Odukomaya, was not let out, of course she did what she knows best to do. Deteron event also surprised the finger-licking food popularly called small chops, her unique filling chops is second to known. The taste of her chop takes you to heaven and back. Her style of creativity is welcoming and can compete with int standard.
BISMID AND HER STAFF: The staff of Bismid Cosmetics once again lived up to expectation at the event. They were courteous, efficient, and quite warm as they attended to the army of guests in attendance.
