Following a recent report that the new zoning system of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, has schemed Chief Bode George out of the Chairmanship race, his Special Adviser, Prince Uthman Shodipe-Dosunmu has reacted to the claim, discarding the news as “patently false and spurious”.
In an earlier report, it was stated that six man committee headed by Senator Iyiola Omisore was set up at the Zonal meeting of the party held on Wednesday, 15 November, 2017 at the Ibadan Civic Centre, Idi Ape, Ibadan.
The meeting was attended by the Zonal Chairman, Dr Eddy Oyefeso, Zonal Secretary, Rev Bunmi Jenyo, and other Zonal executives including the State Chairmen and Secretaries of the party in the six Southwest States as well as some invited stakeholders.
In a statement issued by Uthman on Friday, November 17, 2017, it was stated that the Deputy National Woman Leader purportedly zoned to Lagos State is a non-starter. “It is not a National Working Committee Position which could have distorted the zonal balancing”. He added.
Read full statement below;
There is a society paper which has been pushing a patently false and spurious story claiming that Chief Bode George and Professor Tunde Adeniran have both been disqualified from contesting the Chairmanship position because of some micro-zoning arrangement in the Southwest.
This is utter rubbish. The story is a brazen propaganda balderdash emanating from the deliberate uninformed and the benighted. The so-called Deputy National Woman Leader purportedly zoned to Lagos State is a non-starter. It is not a National Working Committee Position which could have distorted the zonal balancing. The only place where there is such distortion is in the Ekiti-Ondo axis.
To the deliberately uninformed, Chief Bode George’s aspiration is unaffected and untainted with any zonal anomaly. The story is a purely concocted mercenary twaddle, stripped of wisdom, devoid of logic, hastily put together without thoughtful explication!

Special Adviser to Chief Bode George
