President Muhammadu Buhari, ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, were reunited at the swearing-in of the Senegal President, Macky Sall, for his second term.
This is the first time that Buhari and Obasanjo would be seen together publicly since the Nigerian president won his reelection bid in February.
Obasanjo had kicked against Buhari’s second term, endorsing Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who came second in the election.
Buhari and Obasanjo, who go into history as the only Nigerians to have led the country as military heads of state and civilian presidents, smiled and exchanged banters in Senegal.
President of African Development Bank Akinwunmi Adesina, was also pictured at the event.
Other prominent Nigerians at the august occasion are chairman of Heirs Holdings, Mr. Tony Elumelu, MD Sahara Power Group, Kola Adesina, and others.
