•Picks DECEMBER 19TH Date
This is the beautiful story of a forthcoming wedding party that will hold in days time in December. It is a wedding that will bring together two prominent families-The Majekodunmi & Eyitayo family.
A few months back, the bride’s mum, Mrs. Cecilia Olusola Majekodunmi explained to City People, how happy her family is that her lovely daughter is getting married. Earlier on in the year, a date was picked, but was shifted to December because of the pandemic.
This beautiful and stylish mother of the bride, who is a retired banker at First Bank, told City People that the 2 families are happy that the couple-to-be will be tying the knot.
“Bukola is my last born & the only girl of my 3 children. She is a very sweet girl”, she explains. “She is very ambitious and respectful like me. She took after me in many ways, in terms of Intelligence & Focus. She completed her education in record time, just like I did. She went to the UK at age 15 for her A levels and Foundation at Belerbys College Cambridge UK and she did very well. She went on to do her 1st degree in Management from the reputable Bath University in the UK and came out with 2/1. She later went on to Imperial College London for her Masters degree in Strategic Marketing and she came out with Merit. All these were done when she was just 21years old. National Youth Service done, and now works with Access Bank PLC after being head- hunted and is now a qualified Chartered Banker having passed her CIBN exams with flying colours. We wish the couple a happy married life.
She has 2 brothers. The Senior one also studied abroad. He studied at the University of West of England and went on to do his Masters. He is presently in England where he is a Photographer. He is Wale Majekodunmi. The other brother is Lanre, who prefers to be called his English name, Anthony. He is an Architect. He did so well in school. He studied at the University of the West of England where he studied Built & Environmental Studies. He has a Diploma from that University. His love for Arts is more than his love for Architecture or Built & Environmental Studies. He does his own Paintings. Recently, he said he wants to go back to the University to learn more on the Commercial side of Arts. He currently has a Gallery somewhere in Victoria Island in Lagos. He has put it on hold. He wants to go and study more so that he can manage the business properly”.
“Those are my 3 lovely children. I feel so blessed with them.I really, really do thank God, having them” she explained. “They have diverse attitudes to life. My 1st son is quiet. He is an introvert. He hardly mixes. My 2nd one, Authony, is an Introvert as well. Of course, Bukky is the life of everywhere she enters. She is an extrovert. They are a lovely mixture and I am truly blessed with them”.
“Let me tell you about my husband also. I have been happily married to my husband who happens to be a retired Major for about 31 years. We got married in June 1989. Its been rough. Its been fun. Its been a whole lot of experience. But by and large, its been a very, very happy marriage, so much so that if i am asked to choose a husband again, I will choose him because he does not stress me. It is one thing to be married to someone who is rich and everything. It is another thing to have that perfect understanding. If I want to venture into anything he is always very supportive. He is not like some husbands that are looking for your downfall or they want to be a clog in the wheel of your progress. My husbands name is Anthony Osho Majekodunmi from Ikereku in Abeokuta. He is a retired Major. He was in the Infantry Battalion. The first 10 years of our married life, we lived in Bonny Camp in Victoria Island, in Lagos. So I know everything about the Military. Like I said, my 1st son is very reserved. At his own wedding we had only 60 guests because he was getting married to a British lady. We had the wedding here. He said because the Majekodunmi family is a large family he didn’t want us to overwhelm his wife’s family”.
“That is why he said he wanted a table for 10 but I had to sneak in additional 50 guests. This time around, Bukky has a lot of friends. And she is also marrying a Lagos Big Boy,so to speak. I am talking about Temitayo Eyitayo, my son-in-law to be .He is a self motivated and highly resourceful Business and Management Graduate, with experience in Marketing, Business Development and Business Strategy. He was educated at Atlantic Hall Secondary School, Lagos. Barnet College UK for his A-Levels, University Of Kent. Business Administration, University Of Buckingham. Business And Mgt. The British born Entrepreneur is the CEO/Creative Director 24 Apparel Limited and CEO/Head Chef @Soul_chow Culinary that deals with Marinated Meats, with presence on www.Jumia Foods for orders. The highly sociable groom is unveiling later this month, Soul Chow Gardens at No1 Polo Club road Ikoyi – relaxation spot, restaurant, lounge and outdoor garden with music, barbecues. I am happy that she is going into that family. The mum and myself are almost like sisters. We have the same values and it is easy for us to get along. So far so good. His mum is Mrs. Ajike Eyitayo. The dad is Mr. Bola Eyitayo People know him as Botop Enterprises. He is into the manufacturing of Baby products. That is what the family does.
” I am a retired Banker. I did my Youth service at First Bank in 1985 .
In 1986, I became a permanent staff and I worked there till 2015. That is a period of 30 years of formal work, if I add the 1 year NYSC that makes it 31 years. I now set up my own business which is EMADOR Energy Services Limited. We import and sell petroleum products. We also have a Vessel which we lease out. That is what I do presently. I have a few other investments also”.
