Not fewer than 30 prominent textile merchants at Balogun Market in Lagos, alongside many other top celebrities, stormed Oyan, a surburb town in Odo-Otin Local Government area of Osun State, on Monday 12th August, 2019, a day after Ileya celebration, for the chieftaincy coronation ceremony of Alhaji AbdulAkeem and Chief (Mrs.) Aderonke Mohammed, as they were both honoured with Aare Bobagunwa and Yeye Bobagunwa tittles respectively.
Interestingly, it was double tittles for Chief (Mrs.) Ronke Mohammed as she was also confered with Yeye Aje of Oyan kingdom tittle.
The Iwuye ceremony took place at Oloyan of Oyan, Oba Kelani Adekeye’s palace, in the presence of the sons, daughters and chiefs of the town. After which guests moved to an arcade ground of the newly installed Bobagunwa’s father, ‘Sheu Sheu Omilonlo’ residence, for an exclusive reception where all to eat and to drink were made available, except for the fact that the party was devoid of alcohol because of the status of the celebrants.
It was indeed a classy party which speaks volumes about the personalities of Chief & Chief (Mrs.) AbdulAkeem Mohammed. They are a Canada based couple who have high taste for good things. They have a standard that has to be maintained in whatever they do and that was exactly what played out at the party.

The massive presence of Chief (Mrs.) Ronke Mohammed’s friends at the party showed that indeed, there is a strong bond between them all. Apart the fact that the party was colourful, classy and well attended, the high point of the whole event was when Aare Bobagunwa, Chief Akeem Mohammed’s father, Sheikh Mohammed made an announcement that he has decided to give his daughter in-law, Chief (Mrs.) Ronke Mohammed one out of his properties. It is about two plots of land which has an uncompleted building (a hall) on it, for her to use it for whatever she wants. ‘Omilonlo, as the man is popularly known in Osun State and its environs, also promised to give the new Yeye Aje five aches of land for farming purpose. What a gift!

That Yeye Ronke Mohammed and her husband are well loved and respected among their friends in Canada, where they are based can’t be overemphasized. For the good number of people to have come from far and near, especially Canada and London, to witness the conferment ceremony is a lot. Oloyan of Oyan, Oba Kelani Adekeye and Sheikh Mohammed (Sheu Sheu Omilonlo) are good friends, and their friendship has definitely extended to their immediate families. That was why Olori Abosede Adekeye played a major role in making sure the installation program at the palace went smoothly. The beautiful Olori later came to the reception briefly. She was indeed a perfect host.

Trust is a major key in business and that is what has been working for the Yeye Aje of Oyan kingdom, Ronke Mohammed and an Osogbo based businesswoman, Alhaja Olaide Ajisafe. They have been each other’s customer and have been doing business together for years. The party was a perfect avenue for the two friends to meet face to face for the first time. Like Ronke, Alhaja Olaide Ajisafe is a successful businesswoman too; she is the C.E.O LADMOL Nigeria Limited and deals in tomato paste and ingredients. Not many people know that the top textile merchant and the Yeye Oja of Balogun Market, Chief (Mrs.) Abosede Atoyegbe has diversified into events management. She has since left the textile aspect of the business for her children to manage while she moved to the next level. Her SEMBOS company packaged and handled the whole event for her friend, Yeye Ronke Mohammed. They are very close, having come a long way together, since their secondary school days. SEMBOSS was the one who brought all the professional party vendors who catered at the event together. Right from the catering, which includes different menu of both local and international dishes, to the yummy small chops, barbecue fish, Asun etc, everything was just on point. In fact, Chief (Mrs.) Abosede Atoyegbe could best be described as an excellent host.

Sheikh Hammed Mohammed aka ‘Sheu Sheu Omilonlo’ is a powerful Islamic cleric in Osun and the adjoining towns and cities. He is the father of the Aare Bobagunwa, Alhaji (Chief) AbdulAkeem Mohammed and the proprietor of Al Misan Islamic School. Sheikh Mohammed also has a special gift from God; he is extremely brilliant and a multilingual, he speaks about six languages. He is the Esa, the second in command to the king in Oyan.

Like an old wine, Osun popular Islamic singer,, Alhajaat, popularly known by her band name, Dupe Tie, keeps getting better and better everyday. She gave a good account of herself at the party, as she thrilled the guests with nice Islamic tunes. She is the leader of Al-Nuur Islamic Charity Forum.
