Titilola Aboyade-Cole is a Naija celebrity lady who is based in the UK. She is a movie practitioner also. Recently, CityPeople got her to talk about her success story and she revealed a lot.
“My name is Titilola Aboyade-Cole, an actor, filmmaker, media practitioner, Life Coach and entrepreneur,” was how she introduced herself. She is versatile.
How did acting start for her, we asked.”My first time in acting was in 1990, on the set of a tv series called “Turning point” directed by veteran director, Tade Ogidan.”
“I just went for auditioning and was amazed when I was picked for the project.”
When did she start acting? “If I wanted to count from the first time, I’ll say 31years, but that won’t be 100% true because I left for the UK and only went back into acting professionally two years ago.”
How challenging has it been sustaining her interest in acting?
“Nothing good comes easy, but with passion and God on your side, it becomes a stroll in the park.”
“I am fully connected with my roots and Nollywood is my thing amongst others.”
Who are the actors she rolls with in the UK?
“Quite a number of them, starting from Ruke Amata, Toyin Moore, Doyin Amodu, my son; Mikky Onabanjo, Ibinabo Fiberesima and many wonderful actors.”
Where was she born and bred? “In Lagos, Nigeria,” she explained.
“I started with Aunty Ayo Preparatory School, then to Lagos African Church Grammar School (Lafrograms),
Lewisham College, Barnet College, London School of Journalism and University of Law.
My son is more of an actor than myself, he’s on a series on DSTV right now.
