AT THE LEKKI FREE TRADE ZONE
As part of its coverage of the Real Estate sector, the Management of City People Magazine visited the ongoing Alaro City Project, located along the ever busy Ibeju-Lekki-Epe road in Lagos.
The team made up of Seye Kehinde, the City People Magazine Publisher and Isaac Abimbade, City People Head of the Real Estate Department was conducted round the new city with work in progress. Alaro City is a mixed income, city-scale development spanning 2,000 hectares in the Lekki Free Zone. The city has areas for offices, logistics and warehousing, homes, schools, healthcare facilities, hotels, entertainment and 150 hectares of parks and open spaces.
Construction work began fully last year May and about 10 industries have begun work on their sites.
Alaro City holds full land title with Certificate of Occupancy.
Rendeavour is in partnership with Lagos State Government, through their subsidiary, North West Quadrant Development Company (NWQDC).
Alaro City is a development by Rendeavour (Africa’s Urband Future). The City People team met with the CEO of North West Quadrant Development Company (Lekki Free Zone) and Tim Beighton, the Head of Marketing & Communications, and both told City People why Alaro City is going to change the face of Real Estate development in Lagos.
Rendeavour, the investment company powering the project, is currently building 7 cities on 12,000 hectares in 15 countries in sub saharan Africa. Rendeavour cities provide homes, offices school, healthcare facilities and industrial parks within a well planned arbane environment, along with the Infrastructure like Roads, power, water, ICT.
