His name is Rotimi Akinfemiwa, but he is popularly known as Rotimi Aberuagba.A few days ago,Citypeople spoke to him about his success story. “I’m a native of Ondo. I am a film producer, actor, businessman and a politician.”
How easy has it been doing what he does?
“It has not been easy sustaining my movie career. I have passion for movie.I have been doing it since I was working at BCOS Ile-Akede Ibadan, but it is so challenging in the diaspora to produce movies. One of the challenges is to get the actors and the crew. Most people that are acting here in the UK have their different primary jobs and their free time are also different, so it is very challenging to get them working together.”
What is his story like?Where was he born?
“I am the second in a family of five.I grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State. I attended St James primary school, Oke-Bola and IMG school 3, both in Ibadan.”
I studied Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic Ibadan and worked with Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) before I came to live in London in 1996.
I later studied Accounting and Management at Birkbeck University of London and currently studying Business Management and Leadership at Coventry University.”
