The transfer of technology is desirable, but above all building capacity is key.  From now on CMB-Vertikal will be sole contractors for CMB; the company will do all building work as an independent company, boosting the construction arm immeasurably design techniques. Vertikal, in their home country of Poland, can easily match the achievements of Julius Berger in Nigeria. We want to bring in that level of capacity on board, allowing us to take on more contracts and more technically complex projects, as well as diversifying the kinds of projects we do. CMB has always focused on residential buildings and affordable homes. With Vertikal’s involvement, CMB can focus on interstate highways and other infrastructure projects. Infrastructure is key to our future.

We are putting all of the building blocks in position , so that when the economy turns around we will have strong enough foundations to take on the projects.
