Star actor, Timini Egbuson is currently one of the top rated stars in the movie industry. He features in cinema movies back to back, and has emerged one of the highest paid in the industry. He is also currently the face of Netflix, besides making Netflix top rated actor, he also features in 80 percent of movies streaming on Netflix.
Aside the talents, Timini is blessed with looks that stands him out amongst his colleagues in the industry.
No wonder, a lot of girls are crazy about him, within and outside the entertainment industry.
He is been at his best for over 12 years now and his pretty sister Dakore Egbuson Akande has been a significant influence and motivation for how far he has come in the industry.
He started from playing the role of Tobi on MTV’s “Shuga” to his role as Mohammed on Ndani TV’s “Skinny Girl In Transit”. Timini has killed every role he interpreted as if, it is his last. He is so good that many were not surprised when he won the 2019 Future Award Africa prize for acting.
As if that was not enough. He emerged “The Best Actor in a drama for his role in “Elevator Baby” at the 2020 AMVCA and also got nominated for Best Actor in a comedy and a drama at 2021 edition.
In one of his interviews, when asked what accomplishment is he proud of? He said winning the AMVCA and having my sister give it to me. That is top tier. Dakore is someone that I have always looked up to, that is the only person I have necessarily cared about, and seeing her there, so proud of me giving me that award means so much to me”.
He began his career in 2010 on Mnet soap opera. Tinsel but his role as Tobi on Shuga gave him the big break, and this particular MTV Shuga can be seen all over the world.
In 2015, Timini got a shot at the big screen with the blockbuster film Fifty, where he played Jamal in 2018, he starred in feature films such as Kamsi, Ajuwaya and Isoken.
He acted in Elevator Baby, a movie on Netflix, and also a lead actor on breaded life, another blockbuster movies showing on Netflix.
Timini is a multi-talented and award winning actor and many will always applaud him for his role in movies such as Breaded Life, The Smart Money Woman, Introducing The Kujus, Omo Ghetto The Saga, Super Star, Isoken, Dinner At My Place, Country Hard, Dwindle, Fifty, Fate Of Alakada, The Order Of Things, Elevator Babay amongst others.
He is a graduate of Psychology from University of Lagos. He was mentored by his super star actress sister, Dakore Egbuson before he eventually got a role in Tinsel after several audition.
In one of his interviews, he revealed how his sister influenced his career? According to him “she is like a role model, I look up to her in terms of life generally, even aside from career, she is an amazing woman. The value that she holds in life are stuffs that I have emulated, I think that is what has brought me to where I am today. If you ask around everyone will tell you that I am a good person, so basically that is what it has been. She is been like a role model. She was successful in acting and I saw that success is something that can happen. It is something you can sustain, so for every step of the way, she has pushed me, she has motivated me”.
One can’t talk about wave making actor in the movie industry and Timini’s name won’t top the list.
