Just three after the Abule-Ado gas explosion that rocked Lagos and claimed many lives and properties, another explosion is already looming at Aboru in Alimosho local government area of Lagos as vandals bursted a pipeline in the area.

The sad event which occurred early this Saturday morning caught residents aback after they woke up to discover smells of petrol all over.

A search by the CDA shows the swampy end of Aboru pipeline by Ola-mummy street towards Mosan/Ipaja end had been bursted.

Our correspondent who was on ground met the security operatives who we learnt had advised residents to vacate the Area.

CITY PEOPLE also attempted to get close to the site of the burst but the nature of the swamp made it difficult to access.

However, we were reliably informed that effort is on by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) to reseal the bursted pipes.

Officers of the Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Police, Lagos State Fire Service and the CDA are all on ground to ensure no further damage is caused.

Aboru is under Agbado/Oke-odo LCDA in Alimosho LG.
