•Details Of Prof. EMMANUEL FAGBAMIYE’s Burial In LAGOS
Last week, 26th January, 2018, the remains of the late Prof. Emmanuel Olukayode Fagbamiye, who died December 15th, 2017, was finally laid to rest in Lagos.
The deceased was the father-in-law of a popular gospel artiste, Demola Olota.
City People gathered that Prof. Emmanuel Olukayode Fagbamiye, in his lifetime, was a man, who left his foot prints on sand of time. A man of uncommon honesty, transparency and integrity. He was a man who stood out among men to fight injustice. He chose to improve on any system where he found himself. Prof. Fagbamiye was full of love and care for others. He was very respectful to both young and old. He was a man full of purpose; a great manager, with very resilient spirit. Above all, he was a very prophetic man, a prayer warrior with unshaken faith in the Lord.
Despite the fact that Prof. Fagbamiye was a fulfilled man, his demise still shooked many people, as they were seen shedding tears at the service of songs and wake that kick-started the burial ceremony.
AT THE SERVICE OF SONGS & WAKE
The service of songs and wake for the late Prof. Emmanuel Olukayode Fagbamiye was held at Tender Care International Schools, Block 5a, Adigun Avenue, Magodo Phase 1, Isheri, Lagos. The event started at 5:00pm prompt, with solemn instrumental beats by Demola Olota and his wonderful band to welcome guests.
Redeemed Conducts THE SERVICE
The service of songs was conducted by The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Holiness Model Parish, situated at 5/7 Ayodele Fanoiki, Magodo Phase 1, Isheri, Lagos. Some of the Pastors were seen seated even before the commencement of the programme.
ORDER OF SERVICE
The event kick-started with praise and worship by the parish choir, led by Mrs. Oluwatoyin Shoneye. It was followed by an opening prayer by one of the Pastors, Hymns started with “nearer my God to thee” were taken by Demola Olota and His Band.
The first special number was taken by Demola Olota and daughter. The 6 lessons were taken from the holy Bible and read simultaneously by the children of the late Prof Fagbamiye.
PASTOR OLAITAN PREACHE AT THE BURIAL
A sermon that lasted for just 8mins was delivered by the Parish Pastor, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, who in his brief exhortation, talked about the lifestyle of Late Prof. Fagbamiye, his committment and dedication to the work of God. He also encouraged the guests to live right and be prepared for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Afterwards, a vote of thanks was given by Demola Olota’s wife, Mrs. Funmilola Olota, while Pastor Magnus Maduka was invited to pray for the family, and the service of songs and wake was brought to a close at 7:30 on Thursday.
AT THE CHURCH SERVICE
The funeral service for the Late Prof. Emmanuel Olukayode Fagbamiye was held on Friday January 26th at The Redeemed Christian Church of God Holiness Model Parish, Magodo, andit started at 10:00am prompt.

THE RECEPTION HOLDS AT YARD 158
The reception that took place Yard 158, Kudirat Abiola way, Oregun Ikeja, did not start scheduled, as guests were already seated, gorgeously dressed, awaiting the arrival of family members who went to Ikoyi cemetery to perform the last burial rites. Though, there were no lapses at all as the guests were enjoying the music being rendered by Tope Odu and her Afro Classic Band. The family members arrived at 3:00pm. The programme started immediately with prayer and dancing.
WHO AND WHO GRACED THE OCCASION
Dignitaries from all walks of life were seen, especially, the group of Professors a deceased belonged to when he was alive was in attendance. The family members too did their best. And one could really say Prof. Emmanuel Olukayode Fagbamiye was a man loved by many, which was confirmed some of the beautiful testimonies they shared concerning him both at the service of songs and funeral service.
