On Thursday, October 5th, 2023, the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Lagos branch unveiled ESV Gbenga Ismail FNIVS as the 28th Lagos Chair and other executive committee members of the branch at a well-attended event held at the Shell Zenith Bank hall in Muson Centre Marina, Lagos.
In his investiture address, the new Chairman expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve the esteemed institution and the broader community. He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration within the branch, and his vision to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning. The Chairman is committed to promoting ethical standards and best practices in the profession, and invites all members to actively participate and contribute to the growth and success of the branch.

Chairman’s Investiture Address
Ladies and gentlemen,
I stand before you today with great honor and humility as I assume the role of the 28th Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers, Lagos branch. This moment represents a significant milestone in my career and a commitment to serving our esteemed institution and the broader community. It is also profound looking at the foundation that has been laid by those who have come before me ,when you look at the their achievements you will understand the enormity of the responsibility one has as Chairman.
First and foremost, I want to express my profound gratitude to the members of this branch for entrusting me with this responsibility. It is a privilege that I do not take lightly, and I promise to dedicate my time, energy, and expertise to advancing the goals and values of our noble institution.
As we embark on this journey together, I would like to emphasize the importance of unity and collaboration within our branch. We are a diverse group of professionals with unique skills and experiences, and it is through our collective efforts that we can achieve excellence in the field of Estate Surveying and Valuation.
In the coming months and years, my vision for this branch is to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning. We will strive to stay at the forefront of industry trends and data analysis, embrace technology and adapt to the changing landscape of real estate and valuation. Before I close, I must remember my late father who painstakingly laid the firm foundation that I stand on today. His hard work continues to guide and defend me wherever I pitch my tent. I therefore owe him all that is being celebrated today.
