Etisalat Nigeria on Tuesday announced the constitution of a new Board of Directors.
The company said this is as a result of the ongoing restructuring efforts.
The Board comprises of Dr. Joseph Nnanna as Chairman, Oluseyi Bickersteth, Ken Igbokwe, Boye Olusanya and Funke Ighodaro.
Olusanya has been confirmed as Chief Executive Officer.
He is to replace Matthew Willsher, while Ighodaro takes over from Olawole Obasunloye as the Chief Finance Officer.
The Consortium of Lenders, working with the Nigerian Communications Commission and the Central Bank of Nigeria have said they are committed to the ongoing efforts to restructure the company towards a path of long term success of the business and the appointment of a seasoned board of directors and top management is a testament to this.
The company in a statement said the decisions reached so far reflect the high confidence all the stakeholders have in the continued viability and sustainability of the business.
It said the smooth transition is also proof of the management’s commitment to ensure that the operations of the company run seamlessly and customers continue to enjoy superior network quality and positive customer experience
