Family announces burial plans for late former education minister, Kenneth Gbagi

The family of former Minister of Education and industrialist, Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, has released the burial arrangements for him.

This was disclosed in a statement released by the burial committee, TrendscopeNews.com reports.

“Let us come together to honour the memory of our beloved friend during this challenging moment. Your thoughts and prayers are also greatly appreciated,” the statement partly read.

Olorogun (Barr.) Kenneth Omemavwa Gbagi, OON, passed away at 62 on Saturday, 4 May 2024.

According to the burial arrangements, however, Night of Tributes will be in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Thursday, 4th July, 2024, by 6:00 pm.

The statement also revealed that a Vigil Mass will take place at the deceased’s country home, Gbagi Haven, Oginibo, Delta State, on Thursday, 11th July 2024, by 4:00 pm.

This will follow with a Funeral Service and Internment on Friday, 12th July 2024, at Gbagi Haven, Oginibo, Delta State.

Reception follows immediately after internment at the same venue, according to the statement.

A Thanksgiving Service will be held on Sunday, 14th July 2024, by 10:00 am at Catholic Church, Oginibo, Delta State.

Late Kenneth Gbagi, in his lifetime, was a legal icon, a politician and a serial entrepreneur.

He was the governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the last election in Delta State.
