Details Of The 2 Day Classy Burial Of Pa OLUSANYA
The final burial of Pa Olatunji Olugbolayan Olusanya, took place last week in Lagos.
Dignitaries across the country were present, as they paid their last respect to Pa Olusola. The rites of passage took 2 days. It started on 15th June, 2023. The celebration of late Pa Olusola started with Wake Keep. It was followed by the Lying-In-State at All Saints Anglican Church, Montgomery Road, Yaba, Lagos the next day. Shortly after this was the Funeral Service and Interment which took place at Ebony Vaults and Garden, Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos.
Pa Olusola died on 29h Match, 2023 and left many remarkable legacies behind. Some of them are his precious children like Mrs Tolulope Onalaja, Olutayo Olusanya, Mr Olude Olusanya, Oludotun Olusanya.
The final celebration of life of late Pa. Olusanya, which started Thursday 15th of June, with Christian Wake at All Saint Anglican Church, Montgomery Road, Yaba, Lagos had family, relatives and well-wishers in attendance.
About Pa. OLATUNJI OLUSANYA
Mr. Olatunji Olugbolayan Olusola was born on the 27th July 1950. He was born to late Pa Daniel Olutunde Olusanya who came from Idele (Agbole Olugbala) in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. His mother later Mrs Victoria Wuraola Olusanya (nee Odunsi) hails from Idogi in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, as well. During their lifetime, they lived at No 2, Aiyemowa Street, Off Iwaya Road, Onike Sabo, Yaba, Lagos and they were both devoted Christians of the Anglican Church Communion and his late father Pa. D.O. Olusanya is one of the foundation members of All Saints’ Anglican Church, Montgomery Road, Yaba, Lagos. His late father belongs to one of the oldest society of All Saints’ Anglican Church,  Yaba which is Men’s Auxilary Association and he put his son late Olusanya Olugbolayan Olusanya into this society before he died and he told him that he should continue to keep the flag in that society. Late Olutunji Olugbolayan Olusanya was the President of Men’s Auxiliary Association till his death.
He started his primary school education at the Methodist Primary School, Herbert Macauley Street, Yaba, Lagos and also gain admission into Fatima College Ikire Via Ibadan in 1966-1970. He also went to Methodist Boys High School, at Broad Street, Lagos for his H.S.E Educatuon. He underwent Computer Study at Rimax Institute of Computer Studies at Martins Street, Ojuelegba, Lagos respectively.
He worked at National Provident Fund (N.P.F) Ijora which is now known as Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund for many years before he retired on October 1990. He worked at Dalsey, Hillblom and Lynn (DHL Company) briefly and also worked at Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Higyway Managers Limited for many years, as well.
He got married on Decemeber 29th 1979 to Mrs Bosede Olusanya (Nee Adesanya) who is a retired secretary at Lagos State Judiciary. The marriage was blessed with children and grandchildren.
DIGNITARIES, STORM RECEPTION
The reception in honour of late Pa Olusanya which took place at the popular Whitestone Event Center, Billingsway Ikeja, Lagos will forever remain evergree. It was well attended. It was also a classy event. The entire stretch of Billingsway was shut down for over 6 hours.
The event which was billed to start by 3pm had already started even before the official time, as guests, celebrities, real estate gurus, friends, relatives and other well-wishers stormed the venue for late Pa. Olusanya.
Don’t forget that, Tolulope, the only daughter of late Pa Olusanya (Tolulope Onalaja) is the wife of Real Estate Guru, Dr. Bamidele Onalaja who is the Lagos State REDAN Chairman. They are the owners of the popular Real Estate Company called RevolutionPlus Property Company. So, it will not be surprising to see top real estate players storm the venue in large numbers.
GBENGA ADEYINKA WAS THE ANCHOR
You don’t expect anything less with this man. He’s certainly the live of a party. When he mounted the stage to declare the event open, we all knew it will be a blast and it turned out to be. Shortly after a brief introduction of guests, he called on stage the popular band group, SB Live to serenade the family of the deceased. And he didn’t disappoint a bit, as he gave his best in his superlative performance which got many people on their feet.
SIR SHINA PETERS’S ELECTRIFYING PERFORMACE
One of the artistes of the night who also gave his best was Sir Shina Peters. He was the special artiste who serenaded the beautiful daughter of Pa late Olusanya, Mrs. Tolupe Onalaja. Give it to the veteran Afro Juju star, he was electrifying all through. He performed for over 2 hours non-stop. You needed to have been there to see how he lit up the mood of everyone at the event.
HOW TOLULOPE ONALAJA & HUSBAND DAZZLED
Give it to her, she has got it. Starting from her beautiful gold long gown, to her exquisite wristwatch, to her shoes. She literally killed it! She was everywhere attending to guests from different places. What about her husband, Dr Bamidele Onalaja. He also wore a gold colour agbada attire. He was everywhere, ensuring guests and everyone were well catered for.
The beautiful couple supervised serving of their guests despite the qualified hands who were paid to render that service. What about millions of gifts they gave out? No fewer than 20 million naira was spent on gifts. They gave out clippers, Hair straightners, expensive towel, pack of food containing semo were also gave out. Jugs, and other countless gifts were also distributed.
They ensured that people were satisfied to the brim. Did we also tell you the couple were called to dance? They both danced and were sprayed by their friends and guests.
DECOR, FOOD & DRINK IN ABUNDANCE
Let’s tell you about the decoration of the venue? The beautiful venue was decorated in mostly white with the photos of the late Pa. Olusanya fitted around the venue. The decor was done by Nephtali Events and he did justice to the colourful atmosphere witnessed at the venue. The planner of the event is 247sl events. Food was served by Culinary work and drinks by Bonix drink, Icey by Adorable.
HOW ODUNLADE & SSP DISPLAYED AFFECTION
The love between Nollywood star, Odunlade Adekola and popular Afro star, Sir Shina Peters was obvious as the two danced on stage. Immediately SSP saw the popular Nollywood star, he quickly called him on stage and they both danced side by side. He also refered to Odunlade as his son and brother, as they both hugged each other.
