Gunmen Abduct Two Students Of OOU

Two students of Olabisi Onabanjo University(OOU), Ayetoro campus in Ogun State, were reported to have been abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

The students identified as Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola are both 3000 level female students of the Faculty of Agriculture as one is said to be studying Forestry and Wildlife Management while the other is of Agricultural Economics department.

The victims were abducted on Sunday night when the abductors stormed Igbole Aibo Quarter area of Ayetoro, in Yewa North Local Government Area of State and fired several shots before taking the captives away just when they were going back home.

The Deputy Registrar, Corporate Affairs Unit of the OOU, Mr. Niyi Oduwole, confirmed the abduction, describing the incident as unfortunate and hereby said that the university management is working on the situation and collaborating with relevant people to ensure victims safe return.
