A good number of movie stars are now into different businesses to make money, since the movie industry is not as lucrative as it used to be many years ago. That is the belief of some actors.
Star actress, Chika Ike is one of such actresses. Truth is, she has always had a thing for business besides her acting career.
Many don’t know that she is a motivational speaker too! After her first book, “Boss Up”, she started making money from public speaking.
She also has the zeal to make others look good, just as she is. She opened a beauty shop in Lagos. She is the CEO of Flip script, a film production outfit which is into film production, content creation, film equipment rentals, digital marketing, and many others.
Then comes her Flip script Homes. Part of her long-term plans was to go into real estate, which she is currently making huge money from. Five years ago, she shared this on her page to encourage other women.
“As a woman, people have a way of disregarding your successes, they attribute it to so many unthinkable things to reduce your achievements. As women, we are strong, powerful, intelligent, smart, and driven. We can achieve whatever we set our minds to achieve. I told myself 5 years ago that I will start my real estate company and I stand today to say I have been able to achieve most of my set goals. I say this without pride but to encourage young women out there.
I am a hard worker. I have worked for virtually everything I have today and also with the grace of God on my side. People are going to say all sorts, call you names to make themselves feel better, but hey, don’t listen, just stay focused on your set goals. It’s not going to be easy, but trust me, it will be worth it, I like what I like, I love the designer shoes, bags, dresses and splurging on fashion when I want to and that is not bad if you can but also set aside money for investments and helping the needy because life is full of hills and valley”.
The multi-talented actress has been acquiring lots of lands in Lekki, building an estate of fully furnished apartments for short-let services and she is been making huge money from this.
She also focuses on construction and development, sales and rentals of houses and apartments in Nigeria.
“The Maison”, as she calls her estate, comprises of units of semi-detached houses, 2-bedrooms and 1-bedroom apartments for sale and rent.
The beautiful and talented actress is unarguably living the life of bliss as she is currently rated as one of the wealthiest actresses in the industry. Chika Ike has a grass to grace story, as her father rejected her, she has turned out to be a golden stone.
She is indeed living her dream life, running different businesses fetching her good money.
She began her acting career in 2005 when she played a minor character in the movie, “Sweet Love”. She got her first major role that same year in a movie titled, “Bless The Child”. She was featured in lots of blockbuster movies.
She founded her production company, Chika Ike Production in 2014 and produced her first movie, “Miss Teacher” and her reality TV game show, “African Diva Reality TV Show”. She is the executive producer, host and a member of the judging panel of the reality show.
The first season aired on DSTV and the second season aired on AIT.
In 2015, she collaborated with Rok Studios to produce movies like “Happy Ending” and “Stuck On You”.
In 2011, she founded her fashion line, Fancy Nancy and launched it in Abuja.
She continues to fight for her dream while showing up as a role model for young ladies.
