How Erelu HELEN FAMUWAGUN Shut Down OWO

• As She Becomes Erelu ATOYEGBE Of OWO Kingdom

On 15th of April, 2023, the entire Owo kingdom was shut down for good, as popular celebrity woman, Erelu Helen Famuwagun, the newly installed Erelu Atoyegbe of Owo Kingdom hosted family friends and associates to a big and glamorous reception party for her Iwuye.

The ceremony took place at the popular Boje Signature Event Hall which is a magnificent edifice located inside the newly built Mydas Resort and hotel along Owo/Ikare road, Ondo state.

Some days before the coronation ceremony party, precisely 4th April, 2023, the Erelu Famuwagun was installed at the palace of The Olowo of Owo; HRH Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III. She was taken through the traditional rites of installing an Erelu, a prominent title for prominent and outstanding women of substance from the kingdom.

The coronation party was a talk of the town event. It was one of its kind. It was attended by friends, family and business associates of the new Erelu Atoyegbe. Meanwhile, they used the avenue to appreciate all and sundry who travelled from far and near to honour her invitation. Most prominent among her guests are the Chief of Staff to the Ondo state governor, Chief Olugbenga Ale; the Oliyere Of Iyere Kingdom, HRH Oba Omotunde Adakos  Hon. Rotimi Ibidapo and many others. Also notable among social clubs present at the ceremony were members of World Council of Owo Associations (WOCOA), Unique Sisters’ club international and friends’ club.

Erelu and her guests had great fun and wonderful moments to relish. The peak of the party was when top ovation singer, Tope Olajengbesi and his band dazzled on stage with lovely evergreen songs.

The entire coronation party was planned by Kammis Place events while the likes of Sarmmie Infinity décor handled the lovely decoration of the event hall. The Master of Ceremony of the day was Dr Smile; one of the fastest rising comedians in the country. The long list of vendors who made the event remarkable include; Honey Drop, Owanbe Pot, YPlus Cocktail, Vdjkings, Monack, Big Deal Event bouncers and Bobby’s Palmwine Service.
