Okada, Keke, Ban,, Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu,

•An Insider Reveals How He Operates

•Meet Those Who Run LAGOS With Him

+Those He Can’t Joke With

Many people have often wondered how Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu runs Lagos State. We can tell you authoritatively that his style is slightly different from that of his predecessor, former Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode. Insiders say he runs a more open government that involves many stakeholders.

Lagos Information Commissioner, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, revealed a lot about Gov. Sanwolu’s style. His own style is Transparent. He is very opened. Whatever he wants to do, he runs it by people. He runs it by the cabinet. He does not run a one-man show. Everything is brought up to the cabinet for us to debate before we take a decision. So, he is Open.

He is a leader who is courageous in taking decisions and whatever decision he takes he is able to explain it, anywhere, anytime, whenever reporters ask him why he did so. He is always able to satisfy them with his explanation. He runs a transparent administration. He is courageous in doing what he is doing. He is cerebral. He has a clear goal and he follows that goal. He does not deviate from it. I am talking of the goal has spoused in the THEMES Agenda”.

Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu is a journalist delight. If you have this kind of governor as a boss, you can just be very happy, because it makes your job very simple. He is very cerebral, very articulate. He has a clear vision of what he wants to do. He has a clear vision of what governance should be. He has a clear vision of what Lagosians wants and he is working day & night towards achieving this goal, that he has set out in his THEMES Agenda, the 6 pillars of development that he has formulated for the development of Lagos.

He is a kind of boss that has another side, apart from the official side f him. He has the social side of him. He is a good guy. He is very nice to be. He is humorous. Many people don’t know that. But when he has to be firm, he is very firm. He does not take matters of work, matters of duty lighly at all.

Of course, he has an Exco that meets once a week. He also as Heads of key parastatals that he relies on. He also carries along his party chieftains in the Lagos APC. Not left out are top civil servants who he relies on.

On a daily basis, he touches base with his Deputy, Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat. He relies a lot on his Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Akinmade Ayinde. Both have come a long way. He does not joke with the Head of Service, Mr. Hakeem Muri Okunola. He respects immensely BRF. He also doesn’t take for granted Lagos State representatives in the National Assembly like Sen. Oluremi Tinubu –  Lagos Central, Sen. Solomon Olamilekan Adeola – Lagos West, Sen. Bayo Osinowo – Lagos East, Hon. Samuel Adejare – Agege, Hon. Kolawole Taiwo Musibau – Ajeromi/Ifelodun, Hon.
