Below are the excerpt.

Can you talk about your journey into the Forever Living Changing Group?

My name is Mrs Gbobaniyi Sewani Oluwaseun, I’m a Sappire Manager, with the Forever Living Company. This year will mark my Nine years doing the business. I started doing it in 2010, and before then, I had my first degree in Bio Chemistry and I have my masters in Environmental Management. I have worked as an Environmentalist with the Lagos State Government for 16 years and along the line, I came across the FLP opportunity.

Though initially I was skeptical, because am a very reserved person, it is a big deal to me, walking up to people and talking to them but when I came for the training, everything changed. Thanks to the good mentor I had and I want to use this medium to say, anything you want to do, and you want to do it exceptionally well, then it is very necessary to get a very good and competent mentor. With a good mentor, you can leverage on his or her experience and all thanks be to God, I got a very good mentor, who told me, this is something I can do and I started. In the beginning, it was just like a child’s play, but I give all glory to Almighty God, and also to the lady that introduced me to this. We were also working together with the Lagos State Government went to the same University, all those  years we were friends but really never talked about this business, but you know God has His ways of designing things. Just for you to meet with the right set of people in life.

So that, what he has planned for us will be fulfilled. So that was how my journey started. I really want to appreciate God Almighty for everything. Life itself is full of ups and downs, but when you have a goal right infront of you, no matter the challenges, you meet on your way in attaining your goal, you won’t allow those challenges to Jeopardize God’s plans for you. You will just keep forging ahead and moving on. So I want to appreciate God for my success and my mentor too, for holding me by the hands and teaching me, and telling me that God has deposited a lot in me, I should be a blessing to humanity and I have helped a lot of people, with what God has given me, so I will keep appreciating him for this. I also want to appreciate my friend Mrs. Awunme for giving me the opportunity.

When you started, how was it like for you?

Like I said earlier, I was a very quiet person, extremely  reserved, I don’t talk with people I keep to myself a lot, even when people around me are talking, I might not even contribute, but when I started, I learnt that it requires a lot of talking relating to people, so I had to learn how to do that, and that was my major challenge, coming out of my shell. That was why, I didn’t even want to start at first going to people and talking with them, because I love my privacy a lot, so that was my major challenge but I did not allow that challenge to stop me, I made up my mind to change this, I started going for training, thanks to the Forever Life Changing Group, they have an Academy, where people are trained on what to do, I started attending the training, learning how to relate and talk with people, how to approach people, how to be respected, how to give people impression of increase and with that, you will be able to present what you have, and people will be interested.

Can you talk about your achievement so far?

I started as an Assistant Supervisor, and that is like a baby, it is just like giving birth to a child, and you watch the child grow over the years, and the child is now graduating from one of the best Universities in the world, that’s exactly how it is for me, I started, as an Assistant Supervisor and I moved through the ranks, to become a manager, and when you get to the post of a Manager, the company says, they want you to help other people that you have brought in directly. So when you help two people you brought in directly, you become a Manager, when you help five people you brought in directly, you become a Soaring Manager, when you help nine people you brought in directly, you will become a Sappire Manager.

To the grace of God, I am a Sappire Manager, with the company, so I have several managers in my team, but the company rates you by people you brought in directly, so by the Grace of God, I have mentored a lot of people too, and they are all doing exceptionally well a lot of young graduates, that have been out of school for years, that I have mentored and they are all doing well. Each time, I look at them, they give me joy, because what I tell people is that you can’t just sit down, and keep complaining about the economy and situation of the country and I want to appreciate God for those young ladies who would have just been out there, out of frustration, committing a lot of atrocities,  that would have gone into different vices  in the society, they are now channeling their energy, and are now a pride not just to their families, but to the society as a whole.

I appreciate everything, it’s been a really incredible journey. Yesterday I was in Ibadan educating women about beauty, their health and looking good generally without Jeopardising their health, and a lot of women turn out for the programme. It’s has really been an amazing journey.

Do you go extra mile to keep up this pretty look or you depend fully on Forever Products?

I read Bio Chemistry at the University, and Forever Products are 100% Organic. They don’t work. Overnight, but if you are consistently using them, they will give you incredible results. Most of our products have anti-ageing effect on the skin. When you use them, coupled with the supplement, they work in synergy. I can show you my picture before and now you will see the difference, I look younger now compared to before, and it is because of the products, what they are made up off. They have universal effect on the body, most of our skin products are made of extracts from plants, and a lot of others things, when you use, they rejuvenate the skin.

What does it require to be a member or join the business?

The first thing, I usually tell people, is to believe in yourself, not just all about the products alone.

If people are doing it and they are excelling you should be able to do same, every other thing is secondary. Once you prepare your mind, that this thing. I want to get into, I must make success out of it, and then you are ready. That is number I. Then sit down with the person that invited you and discuss with him or her. I want to start and it all depends on what you have as in capital. Lots of people start in different ways. Some start with the idea of I don’t really have the money but I have the interest, we teach people different ways to start the business. There is OPM, which means other people money, that is a situation where you take a particular product e.g. Roll on, and market it, then you can get the money, after marketing to the person, then buy and go and give it to the person to use, we have different ways. If you want the total park, it is 163 thousand naira to start. It depends on the exchange rate, some other people start with as little as 25 thousand naira.

It is actually all about interest in building the business. Do you have plans for occupying bigger position in the business?

Yes, in Forever, you don’t remain stagnant, you always work harder to go higher, and one major thing about this business, is that the moment you attain another higher position, within you, you know, you have been able to impact some other people’s lives. So it is just not about the level, it shows that for you to have been able to move from one level to another. It simply shows, you have really touched people’s lives and impacted them positively. So apart from where I am now, we still have the diamond, the double demand, and a lot of others. My wish or desire in life is to keep making impact in my generation, and touching people’s lives positively and also keep making progress.

Do you still work with the Lagos Government?

No, I have left the Civil Service job, I do this fully, I travel round for Seminars teaching and mentoring women.

How do you relax with this volume of work?

Because of the nature of the job, the company has made it easier for us. Like three times in a year, we go on vacation, and you can decide to go with your family, so most times, I go with my husband and children, so we have time to relax, visit places.
