How IFA Deity Told The Ooni To Marry More Wives

•Fresh Facts Emerge

Over the last few weeks, many people have been wondering why the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi has been marrying more Oloris. As at last count, he has married 6 new Oloris, all within a few months. So, many people have been confused as to the reason behind the move.

Many castigated him for the act. They believe it’s absurd, for him to marry 6 wives at the same time. They also expressed doubt that he could love them equally. Others hailed him for doing what he did. They said that he did it to get back at his ex-wives or using his power as a prominent citizen to have a harem for pleasure.

Some also said the king might have been mandated spiritually to marry all  his girlfriends. These and many more were the comments that sprang online.

While some have seen it as a sign that Ooni loves women, there are those who just feel that the handsome monarch has been having fun. But there are those who don’t share that view. They believe that there must be more to it than meets the eye. They think it has a deeper connotation.

City People can tell you that the decision of the Ooni to marry more wives was as a result of the advice of the Ifa Deity. Because of the sweet-bitter experience that the Ooni has had with women in the recent past, the palace had consulted Ifa on the way forward for Kabiyesi and the decision was for him to marry more than one wife. Many of the palace chiefs and spiritual advisers to Kabiyesi decided to pray about the many troubles the Ooni has had with some of his previous wives, in quick succession, and Ifa had advised that the way to put an end to Kabiyesi’s failed marriages is for him to marry more wives, especially after Olori Naomi moved out of the palace and relocated back to her Akure base.

So, over the last few months, Kabiyesi decided to formalise his relationship with some of his female friends whom he has known for years. The advice is that Kabiyesi should marry all of them and procreate ceaselessly.  They say that as the Oonirisa and foremost King in Yorubaland, he should be a father to many children.

Officially, Kabiyesi has 2 kids, a girl he had before he became king and a son he had from Queen Naomi. The plan is for the Ooni to marry more wives and bring all of them to live at the Palace. This is what will bring Peace and Tranquility to the palace. It will also bring Prosperity to the king.

So, we can authoritatively reveal that Ooni’s decision to marry these beautiful women is to give respect to the elders of the palace who had put immense pressure on the king to marry more wives.

An Ifa Priest has reportedly revealed that the Ooni has to marry 13 wives because of a deadline that is involved. According to the Ifa Priest, in marrying more wives, the Ooni was simply following tradition and that he has a deadline to meet. He is to have 13 wives before the alloted time is up.”

He was said to have been told about this before he ascended the throne, but he didn’t think much of it,  believing he could get bye. According to reports, the Ooni stool he occupies comes with its own demands and rules which are beyond him and there are certain things he cannot get away with.

Historically, Ile-Ife is said to have 201 deities that must constantly be appeased. Whenthe Ooni came in, he promised to pay attention to Ife Tradition & Culture. And part of it is to follow whatever the Ifa deity says should be done to usher in Peace & Progress. He has now married 6 Oloris.  City People gathered that, in a matter of weeks, he will add 4 to 5 more Oloris. Out of all of them, he seems so attached to Olori Mariam Anako. So much so that she is now seen as Ooni’s favourite, simply because her marriage to Ooni was the most elaborate.

She is a lady who comes from a wealthy background. There are many wedding video clips of Mariam and Kabiyesi surfacing online, in which Kabiyesi was mostly looking into her eyes and cracking jokes with her. The fact that Mariam attended Sifax daughter’s wedding with the Ooni also confirmed people’s insinuation that, indeed, Olori Mariam is Kabiyesi’s favourite.

Oba Ogunwusi married this epitome of beauty, Mariam Anako on September 6th, 2022, which means her marriage came before every other wedding held recently and that automatically positions her as the first Olori in the Palace.

You will recall that it was after Mariam’s marriage that Oba Ogunwusi married Elizabeth Akinmudai in Magodo, Lagos State. And on October 9th, 2022, the king officially married his third wife, Tobiloba Philips, the ex-beauty queen, who hails from Okitipupa in Ondo State. This was followed by tying the nuptial knot with Queen Ashley Adegoke, a Princess from Ile-Ife, who hails from the royal lineage of Lafogido Ruling House, Adagba Compound. Queen Ashley holds a master’s degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom.

Then came the fifth wife, Queen Ronke Ademiluyi, who got married to Kabiyesi on Thursday, October 20th, 2022. She is a great-granddaughter of the 48th Ooni of Ife, Ajagun Ademiluyi. A fashion expert, entrepreneur, and the Chief Executive Officer of Africa Fashion Week, which holds in London and Nigeria every year, Queen Ronke sure fits the bill. The Sixth Queen is Temitope Adesegun, whom Kabiyesi married on Monday, 24th October, 2022. She is also a Princess from Adesegun Ibipe Royal Dynasty of Ago-Iwoye in Ijebu-North LG of Ogun State.

Anako has a lovely and impressive background. The cool and calm lady hails from Ebira, Kogi State. She was born in 1982 and was raised by a former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Dikko, after losing her father at a young age. Her mother is a retired police officer, while one of her sisters, Medina Anako, is a Lawyer and Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Department Affairs in Kogi State and focal point officer to Governor Yahaya Bello. Her other sister, Mrs. Raliat Abdulrahman (nee Anako), is a Special Adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly. Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. Before Mariam’s marriage to the king, she was an Admin Manager at Nestoil Limited.
