Sir, can you tell us about Episodes?
Episode is an informal business networking event that we normally do once every month. It started last November and this is the 12th edition. The concept behind this event, episode 12 is, we closing down season 1, that’s why we said season one is a wrap-up, so we using this event to appreciate God for having done it for one and also getting feedback from people, the stakeholders, our partners, guest in the past and guest speakers, get feedbacks from them, so we could use that to plan for the season two. The event this evening is for everyone to come, be merry, network, and be jolly.
What brought about the birth of EpisodeS?
Episode started with guys sitting down at Troy, drinking, chatting, gisting and I felt we needed a platform for us to learn, share and connect, and become a community of better people. So I just teamed up with Studio by troy, through one of my sister comps, City Dreams company, and event production & multimedia outfit to start episode, that’s basically how it started,
Talking about season 2, when are we expecting it to commence?
Ok, we just finishing season 1, we take a rest, and by next year we starting season two, which comes once every month.
What are the kind of people we are expecting to grace this event?
Basically, it’s been a community of business-minded people, people who took their lives very important, we come here once every month, e discuss various things like finance, health, management, law, task matters, and so many other things. We’ve talked about branding, we’ve talked about business management and we’ve talked about professionals in politics, so we’ve talked about so many issues, so we expect lots of people from different sectors to be here this evening, media people as well.
How do you reach out to many business people that would love to be a member but are yet to hear about Episodes?
What we tell them is that it’s basically a free event, where your com and learn, you share and connect, and we talk God we’ve been able to build businesses across so many platforms through the membership. It’s a fee membership thing, so it’s not something you need to apply for before being part of it. We come here once every month and we do it.
Do you have a particular venue for the meeting or do you do it in this place?
Yes, the last 11 months have been held here, 11 editions have been held here, and this is the 12th edition, so in the last year, we’ve been holding it here. It’s the studio by Troy in Opebi Ikeja, Lagos.
