•Brand Ambassador, OLUREMI SAN Tells City People
This is the story of a real estate company that is making waves across the South-West. It is the story of Richfield Nigeria.
Oluremi Akintola-Samuel, the wave-making traditional wedding compere is the company’s Brand Ambassador and she told City People how Richfield is making waves in the real estate sector in Abeokuta and Lagos.
She is the face of the business. Popularly called Oluremi SAN, she has a strong online presence and she has been campaigning for people to come and buy land from Richfield. Since 2020 when the Covid-19 lockdown came, there have been a lot of enquiries from Nigerians in the diaspora asking on how to buy land. “People in the diaspora have been calling to ask why they should buy land in Nigeria. A lot of people call me, a lot of people talk to me.
“Before now, we used to sell just land, but now, we have started building houses, because a lot of people buy land from us and now say “help us build”. We have also expanded the scope of our estates. We are selling in Obantoko area of Abeokuta.”
“We are selling land and buildings (Half/Half). A lot of people want to see it. We want to build there. We are done selling land alone. We are now selling houses.”
“We have also moved into Epe. Right now, there is a mad rush for land in Epe. Epe is the new place to be because of the Refinery and Airport project. A lot of people are going there. A lot of activity is happening there. It is like what is happening in Lekki”.
“I got into Real Estate business in 2019 and in 2020, I got involved with Richfield. And since then, I have seen a phenomenal growth in the real estate sector. In some of our other estates, we are already selling houses, not just land. We are going to launch our Epe estate very soon.”
“It is to be called Richfield Homes.”
“We are launching out in Epe. A lot of people know us in Abeokuta already. Our headquarters is in Abeokuta . We started in Abeokuta”.
“I got interested because I was working on a project in my own business, that I felt would work out well with real estate, I was going to launch a project using tangible gifts like land as gifts to couples. Some of my clients were beginning to do that for their children. They take all the money they make at weddings as deposit for land. Land at our estate in Mowe were sold out.”
“So, I have been encouraging my clients to give out land as gifts to couples, to give out land as birthday gifts. That is how I came on board for this real estate company. That is what most people do now. They give out land as gift. Richfield is 4 years now. We will be 5 years soon. We have projects in Abeokuta, Abuja, Lagos (Epe).”
“My role is to create awareness for our Land and Houses. Seeing is believing. I take people to our sites. I also do video calls. I also explain to them the benefits of what they are buying and I tell them the payment conditions.”
“We advice on what is good for them. We advise based on what we feel you will be needing. Everybody needs a land so far as you are living. We believe in site inspection for our clients to see the neighbourhood. I always encourage people to go and see the place. Land is the new Gold. So many places are developing fast. Our company is expanding fast to also include construction of houses. We are also creating Interiors. We do interiors. Interested people can check us online, Richfield Abeokuta, Richfield Lagos. We have land at Kobape, Obantoko, Midgal (near Paramount FM).”
“The company has beautiful bungalows for sale in Abeokuta (Ileasewo) It has Richfield Residences there. Richfield Residences is a fully detached 3 bedroom, all en-suite bungalow building. It is located at Midgal, just 2 minutes drive, off the Abeokuta-Lagos Expressway. The documents on the land is a Global C of O. Each unit of the house is sited on 250 square meters size of land.
