They call him Sb Live, but his real name is Seun Bankole, the big name behind the popular Sb live band. SB Live is now a household name within the live music (band) sector in Nigeria and he has also taken his craft beyond the shores of the country. All this has got him big recognition and also earned him several awards including the City People Awards etc. Over the last few years, he had made out time to release a live music mixtape, he calls the “SB Live Experience Mixtape”, which is a compilation of old and new songs across different genres performed by him and his band. Sb is a Mushin-born talented Keyboardist and an afro-pop artiste, who has been breaking records at different concerts and events that he was invited to showcase his talent, performing back to back for more than 5 hours without a break. His amazing performance and energy level have created a niche for him in the entertainment industry and has gradually won over many fans to the extent that he performs at some multinational company’s end of the year parties and other big events. Even Lagos big boys now call him to perform at their events because he has an amazing way of communicating with his guests. Sb started a few years ago from performing at different lounges at Ogba in Ikeja, Lagos to becoming the toast of music lovers on the mainland and leading band at Major lounges. In 2017, the super talented Crossover artiste Seun Bankole and his S.B Live band signed a year musical tour of the United States of America (USA) with a U.S. based outfit. The tour took the full band to perform live on stage in different shows and concerts as already prearranged in some states, like New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington DC. Houston Texas Dallas Texas Florida, Atlanta Georgia Pennsylvanian, Chicago, North Carolina and others. SB Live sings all genre(s) of music from Hip Hop, Juju, Jazz, R & B, Highlife, Old School, Gospel music. SB Live has been breaking records at people’s concerts and also making magic with his performance. He decided to come out with something that will bring his fans together and get good time to thrill them all. He came up with a concert and tagged it SBLIC (SB Live in concert), which took place on Sunday 6th October at the Havens Event Center Ikeja, with several artistes in attendance like Small Doctor, Bash, Madam network, Jigan Baba Oja, Asiru and 9ice.
SB LIVE THRILLS FANS AT CONCERT
Seun Bankole is the Band Leader of the popular band, S.B Live, a band that is quite known to music lovers on the Mainland and Island axis of Lagos. Seun is a Mushin-born talented keyboardist and an Afro-Pop artiste whose performance style has carved a niche for him in the entertainment circle, and has gradually won over many fans to the extent that he performed at some multinational company’s end of the year parties and now, today big boys listen to his music and invite him for their events. The event kicked off at 7.00 as SB Live arrived the event at 8 pm as his guests were already waiting for him. He gave few minutes to the press guys on the red carpet. He later went on stage and waited for a while as an artiste was already thrilling the guests before he stormed the stage. He had a change of over 3 outfits looking like a real bag of money. He performed for over 5 hours with his band with different dancers, singing different genre of songs, from gospel to secular music. It was an amazing night for him because he pulled a lot of crowds. And his energy on stage is just one of a kind as he didn’t even look tired. He thanked all his fans for coming and said God would honour them as they honoured him that night, saying he was expecting to see them next year and also thanked all the sponsors and the Governor of Lagos State, Sanwo-Olu.
JIGAN BABA OJA AND MADAM NETWORK
Jigan the Shomo age mi crooner stormed the stage in grand style to thrill fans with Madam no Network. It was one amazing night, as he played a drama on stage, as Madam no network acted like she was going for SB Live in concert and Jigan told her that he was going to the same place too, that she should have calmed down to answer his question. Then, Madam, no network slapped him and he carried his body asking if she knew how old he was in Yoruba, his normal slang that brought him to the limelight. Their stage performance was really on point as it made the fans laugh so much.
SMALL DOCTOR PERFORMS
Small Doctor, the only small doctor of Agege came on stage to give his fans hot with his cute senator and his cross bag, looking very nice. He’s an artiste who doesn’t stress himself, he was born with genuine talents. His stage performance was one of the best even though the microphone was about to stop his shine, he quickly changed it and continued with his energetic performance as he sang over 3 of his hit jams and getting all his fans to dance. The whole place was looking boring, but when Small stepped on stage he rocked the whole crowd as his fans were screaming and happy to see him in the house.
KENNY BLAQ THRILLS FANS
As we all know Kenny Blaq is a singer and comedian, who puts all his performance in one to thrill fans in an amazing way. He came on stage to do what he knows how to do best, wearing black on black short. This is another artiste who has made it big in a short time and so many people love him so much. Once it is heard that Kenny is coming to an event that event would be shut down as Sb Live was shut down and a sold-out concert. His fans were so happy to see him as they screamed so loud and he gave them joy which is something he enjoys to do and will never stop doing according to him.
9ICE TAKES FANS TO ANOTHER LEVEL
9ice came on stage while Sb was performing. It was really easy for them to blend as both have a song together. They performed together, then 9ice performed his hit songs, entertaining the guests with so much happiness. Everyone was really surprised that 9ice still has so much energy on stage. He didn’t only sing, but also danced doing much to entertain fans and make them 100 per cent happy which he did achieve.
COMEDIANS AT THE EVENT
There were over 5 comedians at the event who came to support SB Live and also thrill fans at the event. Comedians like Big Bolaji, Peteru, WoleArole, Asiru, Mclarry, Damola, Bash and Dr Smile. The comedy acts were, indeed, one of a kind as they took this event to another level as it is said that laughing elongates the life span of human beings. They made sure people laughed to their satisfaction. The guys were indeed, the real-life of SB Live in concert.
DJ’S AT THE EVENT
There were over 3 DJS at the concert who worked hand in hand at the event, to make sure everything went well, from DJ Khoded, DJ Kenchello and Dj Ozone. The Djs hold their own in the industry with their wonderful ways of thrilling different crowds at different events they attend. Let us say the guys also made SB Live stand out.
