The Story Of Prophetess OLUBUNMI SOLA OSHONAIKE
On Saturday 16th of November, 2019, Acme road in Ikeja, Lagos was a beehive of activities, as Prophetess Olubunmi Sola Oshonaike, the ageless mum of Seyi Tinubu, the handsome son of APC chieftain, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu celebrated her 60th.
The event paraded those who matter to the celebrator. City People’s Assistant Society Editor, ABIOLA ORISILE was there. Below are the gists from the birthday party.
MEET SEYI TINUBU’S MUM, A PROPHETESS
Many regarded it as a best-kept-secret, but to many who know Seyi Tinubu so well, you would also know Seyi Tinubu’s mum, Sola Olubunmi Oshonaike. She is said to play a significant role in his life but keeps a low profile. Perhaps what many don’t know is that Seyi’s mum is a prophetess fondly called. “Wooli’ at a celestial church. She is a top prophetess at Celestial Church of Christ, Ogba, Lagos. This was why many of the top Wooli and the Parish leader, made their way to the Vintage Point, where the event was held.
 BIRTHDAY PLANNED IN A WEEK
Entering the spacious Vintage Point Event Centre, where the 60th birthday of Prophetess Sola Oshonaike was held, one would not only admire the beautiful décor but also to appreciate the grand style in which guests were ushered into the hall.
They were first served cold Cocktail at the entrance before they were ushered in few minutes past 3 pm. During the toast, Seyi Tinubu thanked his pretty wife, Layal, for supporting him and Olumide. He revealed further that the birthday took them a week to plan.
WHY SEYI TINUBU ANDÂ MUM ARE SO CLOSE
Many guests who attended the event couldn’t help but admire Seyi Tinubu and his mum as they both danced at the centre stage. Seyi, who is an only child of the birthday lady was on the floor dancing.
But as Seyi’s mum, Prophetess Sola, stormed the stage, Seyi couldn’t hold himself as he danced towards her. He kept hugging her and whispering into her ears as he went emotional and was moved to tears. Many of the guests couldn’t help but admire the bond which they exhibited.
WHY SEYI’S MUM FASTS ALOT
From the entrance of the hall, guests began to appreciate Prophetess Sola Oshonaike’s beauty. Her portraits which were produced by top Lagos celebrity photographer Emperor Media hung at strategic points in the hall.
Though Prophetess Sola looked big in the photographs but she appeared to have shed weight for her 60th birthday.
Of course, City People’s investigation revealed that “Seyi’s mum is not just a prophetess, but one who also fasts a lot. Members of her church were quick to attribute her weight loss to fasting.
WHY THE EVENT WAS DEVOID OF POLITICAL ANTICS
As the mother of Tinubu’s son, many thought that big-time politicians, APC Governors, and House of Representative members would come to support Seyi but the reverse was the case.  Those who know revealed that Seyi doesn’t like unnecessary drama despite being a Silver spoon kid.
GOSPEL JUJU MUSICIAN, BOYE BEST, AT HIS BEST
One Gospel Juju musician who seems to be the rave of the moment is Boye Best.
This Abeokuta based musician has enjoyed massive patronage in 2019. His singing prowess and creativity stand him out.
He was at his best at Prophetess Sola Oshonaike’s 60th party. He made sure guests had a swell time throughout the party.
SEYI TINUBU & WIFE DISPLAY LOVE
To say Seyi Tinubu is a Lady’s man was so obvious at his mum’s 60th. He was not just all over his mum, he was also all over his wife. He gave her attention when she needed it. He was intermittently seen at intervals eyeing his wife, Layal as she also winked back.
ADEKUNLE GOLD, SMALL DOCTOR HONOUR SEYI
Nigerian top music acts like Adekunle Gold and Small Doctor stormed the event. They sang special anthems in honour of Seyi’s mum who danced happily to their songs.
MC OLUOMO LEADS LARGE ENTOURAGE
A few minutes past 8 pm, MC Oluomo, the Chairman of Lagos Nurtw, walked into the hall with his full squad. He was welcomed to the event by Seyi Tinubu himself.
He spent over an hour before he left.
