What made you go into real estate?
Before coming to Lagos, I fell in love with real estate because I actually had an uncle invests in real estate. He buys land and wait for it to appreciate. So, there was a time I realised my father did not invest in real estate and I asked him why. He had no answer to that question so after a while I disovered that the reason that happened to my dad was because there was no credible people to advise him to invest in real estate. So, that is why I saw that as a problem that needs to be solved.
You always say you have come to the real estate industry to change it. How?
Kelly Global is a real estate investment company. We surveyed the market and we saw that there is a need for investors to benefit in real estate. Benefit in the sense that, they will get passive income so we brought about new strategies for them on ways to get passive income. Not just investing on a long term because of the way naira and dollars is, it is not advisable to invest on a long term because at the end of the day, you will be investing wrongly.
This is because of dollar rate, it is unreasonable so it is best that when investing in real estate you invest to get passive income and part of those things we did is that we brought about Investment programmes which is the Kelkey Lite Plan, Kelkegs Start Small Earn Big Plan, and also the Kelkey Co-Investing. So in that way everyone and anyone can become financially free though it.
For how long have you done this?
I have been in the industry for about 2 years and we have done a lot. In these 2 years we have founded an academy called Kelkey Real Estate Academy where we train people to become seasoned realtors in for them to earn for real estate. To also help them know the right investment plan to go into.
What made you go into real estate?
Actually, this is very emotional for me because I went into real estate because of my dad. My dad did not invest into real estate and also based on my passion to see people been financially free, I saw it as a good strategy for Nigerians and Africans to leverage on that opportunity. So that is why I am pushing it out for everyone to participate in real estate. It is there right place to be when you want to invest because if you look at where we are in the country with various investment that has come and gone.
For someone to save up and investing in an investment that is not secured. So real estate is the only place that is secured and assured. It also appreciate which makes it very investment commodity to put your money in.
Take us through your educational journey?
I studied Economics at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. I grew up in Edo State and had all of my educational training in Edo State. After that, I later came down to Lagos and went straight to real estate.
