It grossed 13 million in just 3 days at the cinema. The movie succeeded because it was hilarious and has a mixture of older generation and presence of the new generation.
Also her first cinema movie “Alakada” was celebrated, and the comedy sold out in key cinemas across the country. It made 25 million in its first 3 days at the cinema.
A week later, it made the list of top five releases of that year.
This highly talented actress vowed never to relent and ensure her new movies always beat the previous one, and this, she has been able to achieve. Her brand has continued to grow speedily.

Toyin clinched the number one position, grossed 611 million naira in 2022.
In 2021, the Nigeria box office named Toyin Abraham highest grossing actress as she closed with 357 million. She featured in three movies that raked in 357 million as Osas Ighodaro came second as she closest with 200 million.
It’s been a success story for the beautiful actress, right from the production of her personal movie “Alakada” and others. She has also featured in outstanding cinema movies that made huge success at the box office, which obviously increased her rating in the industry and also gave her more global recognition.
The year 2022 was indeed outstanding for Toyin. She released her movie ‘Ijakumo’ in December and currently it is rated as the fourth highest ranking Nollywood movie of 2022, raking in 136 million in just 11 days at the box office, due to her success in the movie industry. She also got many mouth-watering endorsement deals.
Besides her personal production she also featured in some big movies of 2021, which automatically put her in a special spot in the industry. She featured in movies like “Prophetess”, though not her personal movie, she played the lead character.
The movie was produced by Niyi Akinmolayan, the movie made huge success at the box office and among the highest grossing movies of the year.
She also featured in Aki and “Pawpaw Reloaded”. It was also among the outstanding movies of 2021.
